how much of my homam is still useful for a non-pool-everything-into drk? as far as i remember the only pieces i used on it were legs hands and feet.

It depends on the calibre of other gear you have and can obtain. Compared to old (75-cap) gear full perle set (hurf durf) is slightly better barring a dusk gloves +1/homam/homam set, however if you need a store TP body or something like that then the homam pieces are still good until you can get your hands on stuff like timarli dastanas and ace's hose, which take some work to obtain (I think? Being in an empty linkshell is badtimes.)

Ideal DRK setup (visible slots) is currently something like AF3+2 head/Timarli Dastanas/Ace's hose/Ace's Sabaton's (if you need STP) or Homam feet (if you don't).

There is a haste body but I don't think it's been found, so old bodies are still decent, I think.

i heard xp is gained in alliances now, how true is this?

100% true. XP rate gradually builds up to proportions that old style merit parties could only dream of, it doesn't even require particularly competent players.

Fencing is more or less useless

homam depends on job. Look at perle, and af3 for alternatives.

Gaining exp with a single party is more or less dead. The only time you would ever do it is for <70 parties, otherwise abyssea alliances or gtfo.

I don't see OaT competing with fudo at all. Seems like a beefed up Kaiten from limited testing. (double light properties and all)

Yes, it will make it look worse. Set it to 2560x1536 for the best quality.

Did not know that - I always assumed BG Resolutions had to be the same on both X and Y (assumption based on SE only giving 256x256, 512x512 and 1024x1024 as options).

I have it as 2560x2560 right now... so changing it to 2560 x 1536 will be a noticeable difference?

I don't know how noticeable it will be, but it will be better, and will also use less resources, so win-win.

I'm very, VERY bad at math, so you'll have to excuse me for this question, but;

If i were to get the atma of the strong arm, and use it with the atma of the sellsword i have, it would put me around, say, 82+134 STR in my ws kit on sam, about the same on my other jobs. Would combining all of these put me above some sort of damage cap where one of those atmas would be useless? Or would all that STR stay effective, boosting my numbers?

Also, is there a compiled list of all atmas and their effects? Neither wiki has this yet.

You'll still get WSC from the STR which (as far as we know) never caps~

I have "Hardware Mouse" clicked in Windower GUI but it has never worked for me. It's still always the 3D cursor that I see in game. How does one get hardware mouse to work in FFXI?

When the BST mob repops the pet so it's standing right on top of it, can you still pull it without link if from behind or will it link the BST regardless?

Assuming the pet doesn't take a dumb path that takes it in front of the mob, yeah you can.

Anybody know the format for macroing a Magian search comment? I've got:

/sc 2 "more stuff"
/sc 3 "additional stuff"
/seacomup "magian" 1

but I cannot see this when I search for me. I am getting the "Registration successful" message, though.

I'm having a lot of R0 ~ R16 issues with FFXI on my new PC, and have a lot of trouble connecting to POL (it takes a long time).

Is this likely caused by my anti-virus program? I'm currently using Avast.

Other issue could be the wireless-G thing... it's a USB one, not wired to the wall or anything... it's definitely not the router/modem, because I have no issues on other PCs.
