The problem seems to occur if I let my system go idle more than a few minutes. I wake it up and find out I've been disconnected due to no response from the server. After that, it takes several minutes to reconnect.

When I log on, I red dot for about 20 seconds.

When you pull it, there's a chance the pet will run forward and sight-link the BST. That's what he means.

Pretty sure they link regardless when directly on top of the bst. I've never seen them not link anyway.

They don't necessarily. I've had them not link if you pull it so the pet runs straight backwards. I haven't specifically done it with tigers though, mostly bats.

They don't link regardless. Unless the pet took a retarded path and ran in front of the master, they will not link.

If I delete the .DAT of an entire zone (Bastok Markets), then run file check - will I be able to download a new one?

Ever since launch, over 4 computers and 6 video cards - that zone has been full of weird glitches and shit. Flickering flags, moving shadows across the water, disappearing woodwork, flashing bricks... it's gotta be a bad .DAT, right? Shit makes no sense otherwise.

Its easy with Usu body/feet. Without either of them, probably sword strap + Unkai head/legs +1 & hachiman hands, without Unkai head/legs +1, just sword strap w/ dusk gloves for 6 hit. Thats all assuming Rajas & brutal. Sorry for brevity but @ work.

Are the Magnus weapons useless?

I get some use out of the Magnus Sword when I'm on BLU. The proc rate seems fairly good (30-50% maybe, eyeballing due to lack of play-time for a real test), which should push up melee DPS pretty nicely. Sanguine Blade doesn't take a hit from the reduced base DMG, and when I'm in low-buff situations (read: not spell-spamming due to lack of high levels of refresh), melee DPS and WS damage make up a considerable portion of damage dealt. BLU doesn't have any great options for the ammo slot either, so it's not losing much there.

Pretty specific scenario, though; the usefulness of magnus weapons is reduced when the base DMG actually matters for WS, and there are a lot of pretty amazing Magian options out there, especially with information about the Empyrean weapon skills coming out.
