more on bst mob and pet linkage: bst mobs link with their pets and aggro as well, so, hypothetically, if you pull a pet and the bst notices, the bst cannot be deaggrod (except by natural means) like if you were pulling with a pet. this parallels natural links where it only aggros the mob in question,

for example, if i used carbuncle to pull a wasp out of a den of wasps, i could just use release and i would only get the one wasp (assuming it links no other wasps after the release)

however, if you use carbuncle to pull a bst pet (from behind obviously, if the bst is looking into the direction the pet will go, it will link, which is probably the answer to your original question) and the bst notices, using release will get you both the bst mob, and its pet, the bst that aggrod will not forget about you, and vice versa, the bsts pet will not forget about you. however, you can still get natural links after that which will behave normally . . .

such as if you pull a bst's pet, and say this bst is a goblin, if this bst links with other goblins, the linked goblins will act like the former definition, and attack only the one that the bst is currently targeting, and will forget when that target dies, zones, or is lost (such as using leave or release)

at least, this is how it was since 2004 till 2009, i dont know about this year.

you're seriously suggesting domaru? SERIOUSLY? I'll agree with the pole strap, but use a hauby (+1 preferably obv) and the hachiman kote for the easy 6 hit. Don't use askar unless you're a drg or weilding a relic, and don't use domaru, ever.

Except ws, if you need a few extra stp in ws gear for your xhit build. 6 stp vs 2 str is a pretty good trade off in such a situation.

^true, hadn't thought about that. Was mostly focusing on the accuracy you're losing with the setup he suggested. Yeah hasso is nice and all, but the +10/12 acc from a haub is no joke and not easily replaced outside of hachiryu or usukane body. neither are super easy to attain.

rdm can solo easily, duo shouldn't be a problem as long as the nin isn't awful and doesn't have a ton of tonberry hate.

There is nothing wrong with domaru or Askar for tp if it lets you get extra haste assuming you are fine on acc.......
