it raises them to give the impression they are individual buttons rather still on a joystick that will fail.

Oh god the pictures of the Duke, I was fucking 10 when i got my xbox. That thing was bigger than my hands, playing Splinter Cell and Halo was a bitch ahah.

If you look closely, one setting has the directional buttons flush with the diagonal parts. Turn it around and the buttons raise away from the diagonal parts, making it better for w/e game that you happen to want to use a d pad for over your joystick, whenever you don't want to use your fight stick.

I can't think of any games where I'd do that...then again I guess most people don't have fight sticks, so w/e.

i liked the xbox controller, but that's probably because i don't have girlhands like you all do.

also fuckkk are new controllers expensive, whatever happened to 20~40$ a game and 20$ a controller, i get that it's more expensive to make these things now but it's just way too expensive to be a gamer anymore

Controllers 2-3 generations ago are fucking simple compared to the monsters we have today. Granted, all three companies are reaping money from their controllers to help offset the cost of the machine nowadays.

Meh, I hope they sell stand alone models of the controller. If I decide to upgrade I don't need any more freaking rechargeable battery packs... Making me waste $30 more dollars just for a battery pack I don't need.
