As with VC3 I hope this gets shown if this is actually coming out.

During a presentation at the CESA Developers Conference on Wednesday about the art of animation, Team Ico head Fumito Ueda brought up some shots from Ico as illustrations. Except the images projected don't look exactly like the PS2 game: the aspect ratio is different, the textures are better, and the character models are sharper -- and that's just what can be picked up from looking at pictures of a projector showing the images. NeoGAF's Gribbix and SolidSnakex posted direct comparisons between the CEDEC presentation and the PS2 Ico.

With the persistent rumor of a God of War Collection-style remake of Team Ico's PS2 games, and with TGS around the corner, it's tempting to take these images as evidence. It seems just as likely, however, that Ueda mocked up nice illustrations of iconic scenes for his presentation. In any case, they're lovely and can be seen at GAME Watch.

omg, I just started replaying Ico too dammit. I would definitely be interested in replaying Shadow of the Colossus though, since when I played it had NO idea that fruit/lizards could be used to upgrade your stamina/health, nor did I know about the time attack mode to get additional items

Does anyone know if PS2 saves of God of War 1/2 can be used on the PS3 God of War Collection? I'm guessing no

El Shaddai Playable at Tokyo Game Show
Ignition makes its own Tokyo Game Show debut with a major title.
Posted Sep 03, 2010 at 22:50, By Anoop Gantayat

We'll finally get to try out El Shaddai for ourselves!

Ignition Entertainment will be showing product at the Tokyo Game Show later this month, and there's a big reason to go to the publisher's booth. How does a world premier playable build of El Shaddai sound?

    http://www.andriasang.com/blog/2010/...2132424584.jpg

The multiplatform action title will see its playable debut at the event, Ignition announced today. Just what attendees will be able to sample was not announced, but it looks like Ignition will be making a big event out of it, even showing off the past works of director and character designer Sawaki Takeyasu.

El Shaddai will be joined by other games, Ignition also said today. This will be the publisher's first Tokyo Game Show exhibit.
I do recall someone at ignition saying their VA work for El Shaddai would be significantly less ass than Arc Rise Fantasia, but the game looks interesting regardless

Tokyo Game Show 2010 promising more products, fewer RPGs
    http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.c...femalesmas.jpg

There are a total of 630 products being shown at this year's Tokyo Game Show, nearly 40 percent more than the 456 products shown last year. However, while there's a lot more on show, it's surprising to see which genres are dwindling down. For example, there are half as many RPGs this year as last (dropping from 52 to 26). Japanese publishers are showing significantly fewer sports and puzzle games this year, as well.

On the upside, there's an increase in shooters (from 10 to 19) and a shocking number of peripherals: 157. Certainly, the release of PlayStation Move, Kinect and the upcoming 3DS must have something to do with that figure!

Most exciting of all is the mysterious "Other" category, which has dramatically increased from 103 to 226. Does this mean we'll see more innovative, genre-bending titles out of this year's TGS? Or, will it mean we're going to see a lot more Square Enix perfumes? See the full rundown of genres for this year versus last after the break.

    Genre 2009 2010
    Action 115 102
    RPG 52 26
    Simulation 22 25
    Puzzle 59 18
    Adventure 13 12
    Shooting 10 19
    Sports 15 4
    Racing 8 8
    Peripherals 28 157

I'm guessing most of the RPGs from last year were on DS, the reason the number of those have gone down is because devs are probably focusing on the 3DS (or being cautious because of the economy). I think we'll probably see more RPGs again next year, although that's assuming most JP developers don't go out of business between now and then lol

Man I'd get the Team ICO PS3 collection just for Shadow of the Colossus. I don't think I'll ever be able to sit through ICO though lol.

I actually just beat it finally this morning. It's a relatively short game, only about 4-5 hours. I reaaaaaaaaally hope the collection has the PAL version of Ico, since that had some extras and unlockables from beating it (the NTSC version doesn't, in fact there's only 1 save point 1 hour before the end of the game and it doesn't save your game clear data)

    Gundam Musou 3(Dynasty Warriors Gundam)

    http://i52.tinypic.com/k3w5c8.jpg

I'm a fan of both so I have both games on the 360. Probably wont trade them in unless I buy the PS3 versions, when 360 becomes useless.

00, 0083, and Unicorn are few of the new additions.

    http://www.siliconera.com/2010/09/07...0-this-winter/

Tecmo Koei and Namco Bandai have another Gundam Musou game in the pipeline. This week’s issue of Famitsu has an article on Gundam Musou 3 or, if you prefer Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, which pegs the game for a winter release.

This version has a new style, cel-shaded graphics, and a battle with Mobile Suit Z Gundam antagonist Haman Karn inside the Qubeley. Look for Mobile Suits from: After War Gundam X, Gundam 0083 Stardust Memories, Gundam 00, and Unicorn Gundam. Mobile Suits from previous Dynasty Warriors Gundam games will be in Gundam Musou 3.

Tecmo Koei beefed up the enemy AI by adding a mechanic which lets enemies reinforce their units. Gundam Musou 3 also has an online mode, which supports countrywide online play.

EA has been mum on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam since announcing the multiplayer-only expansion during its E3 press conference three months ago. But Battlefield Community Manager zh1nt0 says that's about to change. "I am going to Tokyo Game Show to showcase Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam for the first time," he said on the studio's Battlefield Blog.

He reiterated the original feature set – "4 brand new maps built in Frostbite, as well as Vietnam specific weapons, vehicles, persistence, unlocks, and achievements/trophies" – and, well, that's about it. We're shipping out to Tokyo next week where we'll rendezvous with the expansion and deliver the intel back here. Still think they're going to hit that "this winter" release window?

Playable SaGa 3 at the S-E booth:
Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show booth got a bit more crowded today. The company updated its lineup to include SaGa 3 (DS) and Gun Loco (Xbox 360) in playable form.

The company has also added the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII to exhibit list, although this is flagged as video-only. In this week's Famitsu, producer Yoshinori Kitase said that the game would be playable. It's possible that Square Enix will announce playability later, or that the game will be playable exclusively in Microsoft's booth.
    and from Konami:

Similar to E3, Kojima Productions has its very own special site for the Tokyo Game Show. Unlike E3, though, there aren't any mysterious teaser flash apps at the site.

The studio opened its special site today. The site promises playable Caatlevania Lords of Shadow and stage events for both Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid Rising. Playable Rising? Doesn't look like it, at least not for the masses!

Kojipro also has a couple of previously announced fan events planned. The Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker "Summer Camp" tournament will see its final round at TGS on the 19th. The Metal Gear Solid Cosplay Camp cosplay tournament will be held on the 18th.

For those who can't visit TGS, Konami will be broadcasting these events and its stages live via Ustream. Visit Konami's Ustream page for a schedule.

The broadcast will actually begin on the 16th, the show's business day, with a "Kojima Productions Special Stage" MCed by Yumi Kikuchi and featuring appearances by Hideo Kojima, Kenichiro Imazumi and Shigenobu Matsuyama. This stage will introduce Kojima Productions' upcoming lineup.

Also supposedly Gundam Musou 3 will have a playable demo at TGS

    http://kotaku.com/5635508/walmart-li...us-set-for-ps3

Walmart is taking pre-orders for a box set of popular Playstation 2 action games ICO and Shadow of the Colossus for the Playstation 3 for just under $40.

While Sony has yet to announce such a bundle, Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida told IGN back in June that they are "looking to continue to do these HD conversions" following in the footsteps of God of War and Sly collections for the PS3.

In the case of those games, the classic PS2 titles featured updated high definition graphics.

We've reached out to Sony for comment and will update if and when we hear something on this.

ICO / Shadow of the Colossus (PS3) [Walmart, thanks to everyone for the gazillion tips]
I guess we'll see the possible reveal next Thursday.

Oh our precious dreams and delusions... I looked on some boards not long ago in search for any scrap of info about a new game, but there was none so I didn't even hope for anything :<
