microsoft's lineup

Microsoft shared today its lineup of games for this year's Tokyo Game Show.

Similar to Sony, the Microsoft booth will house both first and third party titles. Here's a look at what will be shown:

Gal Gun seems to be new. It's described as a 3D shooting game.

(Update 20:53 -- Microsoft appears to have removed "Gal Gun" from the list at its official site. It was written "ギャル★ガン" -- yes, with a star in the middle. You can still see it on the press releases at various Japanese language sites like 4gamer.)

Idolmaster 2 was listed as video only in Namco Bandai's booth, but the company's stage show page does confirm that it will be playable.

Microsoft will also be exhibiting in this year's Family Corner (formerly Kids Corner) with Namco Bandai's Answer With Your Body: New Brain Training.

It looks like Microsoft has some big plans for online coverage during the show. The company's Tokyo Game Show Special Slite has a section for videos and photo reports.

You'll also be able to download the latest game title videos via Xbox Live Marketplace.

Why is mass effect 2 being shown off? And I wonder what extras 13 International has.

Nothing was advertised so I guess it's just the Ultimate Hits re-release, but based on US/EU version, since they usually have some bugs/exploits etc fixed in comparison to the original jp release. And japanese text with english vioces.

actually, FF13 has yet to be released in Japan on xbox360, and the 360 version was just recently announced. Supposedly it's going to include some extra scenes as well as an easy mode, not sure what else besides that.

Final Fantasy XIII is at long last 100% confirmed for release on Xbox 360. Leaked details from Famitsu confirm the game to be coming on December 16, priced ¥4,980.

That's a low price for a Final Fantasy game. The PS3 version had an MSRP of ¥9,240 at its release last December.

It turns out that the 360 version is being budget branded from the start. Not only that, but Square Enix is giving it international branding too. The game's full name is "Final Fantasy XIII Ultimate Hits International."

This will be the first Xbox 360 entry in Square Enix's Ultimate Hits budget line.

Further details on the 360 version's Japanese release should be coming today as Microsoft holds a pre Tokyo Game Show press conference in central Tokyo.

According to the leaks, the 360 release is set for December 16 -- just about the one year anniversary of the PS3 version's December 17, 2009 release. Xbox 360 owners will get English voice acting and a new easy mode. As a first print run bonus, Square Enix is readying a booklet with a visual art collection, a collection of unseen event scenes, and a novel (presumably the Episode Zero Promise prologue).

speaking of releases/leaks, a JP peripheral manufacturer let it slip that the Nintendo 3DS release date (in Japan anyway) is 11/20, but it'll most likely be confirmed at TGS
