DMC4 was fucking great and made by Capcom, as was 3. Why go fuck it up and outsource? Didn't they learn from Bionic Commando, Dark Void, and possibly Dead Rising 2? Fuck sake.

What's Ninja Theory and why is this bad?
developers of Heavenly Sword and Enslaved. Heavenly Sword was pretty good so I'm not sure why people are flipping out already
Heavenly Sword was absolutely incomparable to DMC3/4.
I'm definitely not comparing them, I just think it's a little hasty to assume it's going to be terrible before even a single screenshot is released.
Newest famitsu confirmed that Valkyria 3 is gonna be for PSP.

Little annoying, but the gameplay didn't really take a hit in 2, so I'm not too bothered like everyone else seems to be... if they can bring 1s much better characters and keep all the content and development in 2 I'll be happy.
oh and supposedly Yakuza of the End is going to be a zombie game
I have a feeling this is going to be a good year for TGS announcements, I'm really fucking excited to see what's announced. Anyone know when it opens and when the various news conferences are in some U.S. time?
thank god I avoided playing those two for no reason at all, I can now experience them for the first time in HD!
I am on my way to tokyo now, I will be in the land of slants in 12-13 hrs. I am so going shopping for an anime pillow.
Please take some pics of your travels, I'd love to take a gander at some of the whacky shit you'll inevitably come across.
Lucky me that I never bothered beating SoTC, or actually buying ICO when I saw it eons ago for $19. >.>
Unfortunately that was also my excuse for the God of War Collection......and will be the same for the Sly Collection. *coughs*
So based on the last pic, it's psp again? That's too bad, I was hoping for a return to ps3.
I'm so buying the JP version ^^- Set in the same period as Valkyria 1.
- Key characters all new.
- Focuses around a group called the Nameless which are... ergh. Closest English word seems to be a penal battalion, the Japanese definition according to Wikipedia is "Special group in the army composed of deserters and other military offenders. In the broader sense it doesn't have to be military offenders, and can be composed of general criminals as well. These units are often given dangerous or unpleasant missions such as the burying of corpses or the removal of land mines."
Protagonist - Number 07 Kurt Irving (VA: Nakamura Yuuichi)
Held a bright future as a highly skilled commander, but through a certain incident became one of the Nameless. Rational and unpredjudiced so good with others. Hopes to amass enough achievements in battle to return to his former squad.
Heroine #1 - Number 01 Imuka (Asano Masumi)
Squad Ace and number 1. The village in which she used to live was wiped out. Was invited into the Nameless during her wanderings to seek revenge. The giant weapon she uses and created herself lets her survive battles alone and seek revenge. Darcsen.
Heroine #2 - Number 13 Riera Malseris
Has incredible abilities and is a descendent of the Valkyria, but both those around her and she herself don't realise this. Even when the squads she was attached to are wiped out one after another, thanks to her abilities as a Valkyria she alone survives, and as such is hated by those around her as a 'Reaper', and so was sent to join the Nameless.

Edit more accurate info on the characters.
Well, that sounds better than school kids at least. Hopefully there'll be a bigger batch of cooler characters this time around. Hopefully there'll be some real footage at TGS.
First made public in early 2008, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and No More Heroes designer Goichi Suda have teamed up with EA on a new game. According to Japanese game mag Famitsu, that game has a title.
The Mikami/Suda project will be titled "Shadows of the Damned", or rather "Shadows of the DAMNED". Due out next year, Shadows of the Damned is slated for release on the PS3 and the Xbox 360.
it stars a "demon killer" who rides a motorcycle; he's fighting denizens of the underworld; and the media printed in Famitsu a Resident Evil 4-style perspective as the hero fires away at enemies.
