I mean aside from teh fact that Dante now looks like a zombie heroin addict it doesn't look so bad, although I'm guessing those are just cutscenes and not in-game footage. Hopefully they'll redesign him for the final game, but I'll reserve my incredulity until I can see some actual gameplay

DMC is all about style, and there's nothing in that trailer that looked stylish. It was all awkward, baffling and just plain retarded (the last is usually present in DMC3, but at least it makes you laugh). The gameplay will mimic the trailer in that sense, sword swings will be slow, the enemies won't be right and defensive options will only be available when you aren't doing anything more stressful than breathing.

It will look nice though, not in terms of art style, but art quality.

Tecmo Koei revealed "Ninja Gaiden 3" during a behind-closed door event today (presumably in conjunction with TGS), reports VideoGamer.com. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser poster (snapped by VideoGamer) showing blood-soaked franchise protagonist Ryu Hayabusa removing his mask.

According to VideoGamer, the image represents themes that will be explored in the new sequel: both the "human side" of Ryu and a "more violent and bloody experience" (if you can believe it). Neither platforms nor further release information was given.

Shortly before E3 last year, Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi talked up his studio's commitment to furthering the Ninja Gaiden series. Today's reveal is the first hard evidence of Ninja Gaiden 3 since that time.

Reboot for a game that came out on a next gen console? Bleh. To me everything looks decent... aside from Dante's look. I at least feel he still has some badassery in him (from where he's locked up), but the look just takes that feeling away. Story sounds interesting art looks good, gameplay I dunno. Never played a Ninja Theory game.

Why the fuck reboot a franchise that was on fire. DMC3/4 were great games. And they alrdy sorta rebooted it w/ Nero. I'm still in shock Capcom let them change Dante into an anorexic Vampire. Game looks horrible and I hope it is horrible.

ps: The last scene w/ him smoking w/the moon in the background had to be the gayest thing Ive seen in the DMC franchise
