Carson went from a formulaic late night show to a poser indie show, not saying its great but it is a refreshing change to the crap that is late night. Good job being a piece of shit poster though, fuck you too

Conan is probably the best at making those interviews entertaining and funny because he is still a very naturally talented comedian who doesn't need to rely on writers/monologue for a laugh. Kimmel is probably slightly behind and I have no idea where ferguson is because I've never fully watched him (I do admire his proximity to the camera though). Leno is way way in last place and letterman is somewhere in the lower middle.

Conan isn't bad at all on the improve during monos(and I hate improv in general) but you would do yourself a favor to watch Furguson, it's pretty amazing what he does every night.

Ferguson is probably the only late night show I'd watch so far. Carson's show became decent, and I haven't followed Fallon's show in forever; is it getting any better?

No. He is so not funny, and I don't get how he has his own show.

Conan O'Brien's musical sidekick on his upcoming TBS show will be called The Basic Cable Band, and it will be made up of familiar faces for Conan fans.

With Max Weinberg out of the picture, Jimmy Vivino will become band leader for the Nov. 8 debut of Conan, TBS confirmed in a statement Tuesday as previous reports have suggested.

Vivino is the former associate music director, arranger, guitarist and vocalist for The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

The other members of The Basic Cable Band will be long-time Max Weinberg Band colleagues Scott Healy (keyboards), Mike Merritt (bass), Mark Pender (trumpet), Richie "LaBamba" Rosenberg (trombone), Jerry Vivino (saxophone, woodwinds and vocals), as well as James Wormworth (drums) who used to fill in for Weinberg when he used to go on tour with Bruce Springsteen.

I thought Weinberg was not going to be on the new Conan show because of the E Street Band but it was because of his own show? that will be canceled after 1 season, if it even makes it that far.

Weinberg is going on tour, but he also had recent open heart surgery which was supposedly the original reason why he turned down the Conan gig.

I think he readjusted his priorities a bit, and the Springsteen tour is a reflection of that.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

I was watching that team coco stream earlier and all that happened was la bamba spent an hour trying to solve a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle, and then some dude read shakespeare/francis bacon/conan the barbarian for like another 90 minutes

    I was not amused

Oh God, I'm already laughing. Both those guys were always hilarious when they were on Late Night/Tonight Show.

Still sad at no Max. Gonna miss the Small Talk Moment and the ASS stamp.

Just got back from a test show, was a lot of fun. They were really careful about security/picturetaking, no one could even bring their cell phones in lol.

Set was pretty nice, their background actually has a water view (he mentioned it as being the first time a talk show used an ocean view), as well as a remote controlled moon that he played around with. I think I liked the tonight show set a little better (the Mario backdrop thing was awesome), but it was still very cool. The show's comedy and style were pretty much exactly the same as its always been, which is good. Overall a cool show, looking forward to it's real premiere next monday.
