Time to get a new Credit Card...help me out

My credit card experience is minimal, and the only one I have opened I have used soley to pay school loans. I don't have bad credit, if anything I have little credit, which I am aware can be problematic in itself at times. Anybody have any links or ideas to find low interest cards online? A lot of the stuff I am finding are feeder sites, and I have not gone through each company site one by one yet. Figured I would give it a shot here first. Also, how long typically does it take to get the card?

    Thanks in advance.

I got the student starter card from Capital one, it's about a 16% interest rate (for me). I have not had problems with it and for the payment insurance it's only 1.50$ a month. Plus, you can put your own picture on your card xD

I have had it for about 2 years now, when i applied for it i literally had no credit. Took about 3 days to get the card in the mail.

Credit Unions if you have one are a good choice. If you've been with a bank for a while, you may be able to score one through them as well.

I also started out with a student card from Capitol One, few years later I got a chase card, so i suggest checking either of them out.

my Capitol One started with like 19% interest, and the Chase started with 15%

if you have a bank account, a good bet would be to just go there and ask them what they can work out for you.

    Good read here: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/finance/711457/

Two best cards in my opinion for rewards are: http://www.discovercard.com/escape/?...T_ESCAPE_IMG_2

    and http://www.capitaloneventure.com/#/Welcome

I don't carry balances on my credit cards though, so I ignore the interest rates, ymmv, etc.

    This for sure.

I had little credit, from a car lease I co-signed o with dad (he has insane credit). Car was leased for 36months and never late on a payment. Tried 2-3 diff cards, all denied me. Went to bank, said, hey look, I want a card. Got one that week in the mail.

I went Capital One Mastercard until I had the history to get a Discover card, which I use for 99% of my purchases.

Once I had really good credit history I started to expand my choices, got an American Express Blue card (no fees, has a little chip in it- that was the reason I wanted it after a trip to France). Thinking about getting an Amazon Visa card as well, just to cover all the bases.

Mint.com and creditkarma.com both like to toss credit card ideas at me. I like to think that it's okay to get one card every other year, as getting a card requires a hard hit which impacts your FICO score.

Also, call up every 6 months/12 months to get an increase if you have been good. Capital One refuses to do limit increases by request, but everyone else lets you name a $ amount you'd like to go to (and I've done the tiny bump, moderate bump, and lolnoway bump all with successes).

I maintain a zero $ balance so I don't know what help this may be, but I've got a solid history and credit amount nowadays.
