Thought this was interesting so I guess I'll post this here, Michael Silver rates the NFL owners from first to worst. Here is his criteria:

The list is based on several factors, some related to the owners’ involvement on a league level and others based on the way they preside over their respective franchises. I’m partial toward owners who are proactive in their pursuit of revenue and who aggressively spend money in an effort to enhance their on-field product. I like winners – not the accidental kind, but the bosses whose relentless pursuit of excellence translates to sustained success – and I despise whiners.

Most of all, I try to ask myself a single overriding question: If you were a fan of this team, how would you feel about this person running the show?
    And here is his list:

1(tie): Jerry Jones (Cowboys), Robert Kraft (Patriots)
    3: Jerry Richardson (Panthers)
    4: Dan Rooney (Steelers)
    5: John Mara (Giants)
    6: Jim Irsay (Colts)
    7: Steve Bisciotti (Ravens)
    8: Dan Snyder (Redskins)
    9: Green Bay Packers, Inc.
    10: Bob McNair (Texans)
    11: Jeffrey Lurie (Eagles)
    12: Woody Johnson (Jets)
    13: Zygi Wilf (Vikings)
    14: Alex Spanos (Chargers)
    15: Clark Hunt (Chiefs)
    16: Denise/John York (49ers)
    17: Pat Bowlen (Broncos)
    18: Stan Kroenke (Rams)
    19: The Glazers (Bucs)
    20: Arthur Blank (Falcons)
    21: Paul Allen (Seahawks)
    22: Tom Benson (Saints)
    23: Wayne Weaver (Jaguars)
    24: Bud Adams (Titans)
    25: Stephen Ross (Dolphins)
    26: Ralph Wilson (Bills)
    27: Bill Bidwill (Cardinals)
    28: Virginia McCaskey (Bears)
    29: Randy Lerner (Browns)
    30: William Clay Ford (Lions)
    31: Mike Brown (Bengals)
    32: Al Davis (Raiders)

Here are the articles if you want to read his explanations:

Dan Snyder shouldn't be in the top 20 let alone the top 10.

Are you confused because I gave Jerry Jones a compliment?

Even if I do not like his team, Jerry Jones is obviously a very successful owner. When your name comes up in conversations of successful teams which generally consist of baseball teams + your NFL team, you are doing something right.

I'll just be more worried about the secondary, than brady getting a open man.

If moss is not open, he now has a pretty solid TE that can catch....... not to mention welker is looking extremely good for a recovery season and then there is welker junior. It really all depends if teams can keep moss covered while fully locking down the short gains.

Don't agree with Jerrah Jooones being #1. All those years the Cowboys went without winning a single playoff game.. he was still the team owner there right? Yeah. He was. I'm a bigger fan of Irsay and Kraft, personally.

Don't get me wrong, I like Jerry Jones. I think it's good to have a guy that actually knows what he's going on, and not a husk of a man in Al Davis.. but the dude needs to learn how to butt out sometimes.

Jerry Jones is just a tiny bit less senile version of Al Davis

Good to see Jerry Richardson up there too. He's truly a class act.
