That is pretty damn bold with Wayne, Clark, Collie, and a healthy Gonzo out there. Honestly don't think any of them quite have the speed this kid does though.

BTW! Cantwell got hosed and we kept Pike. Pissed they kept Jarrett and dropped Kenny Moore. Moore has been looking pretty solid, plus he's homegrown talent. Born in Charlotte, product of Wake Forest.

Easily the least likely of all of my predictions to happen, but I went bold on purpose. With all those targets and Garcon continuing to emerge, I figure it could happen. And yeah, I do like Carolina to rebound nicely this year. I don't like a lot of the rest of the NFC, which another reason for that prediction.

Oh but he hired Shanahan so all is forgiven. Once they start getting to the playoffs consistently, I'll agree with you. Until then, I don't care how much money he spends on high profile FAs.

Agreed. Being willing to spend money on FAs isn't something that should be part of the criteria considering shitty coaches/GMs end up bloating the salary cap with overpaid players. "Our," Jerry was #3 and he's one of the stingiest owners in the league when it comes to FA.

Davis is fucking crazy, but as an owner, no one even approaches the level of shittitude that is Mike Brown. Al has good intentions that simply don't jive w/ reality. Brown tries to screw over every player as much as he can and burns every bridge when a player leaves the team.

Lorenzo Neal elected to sit out all of 2009 after being cut by the Raiders, rather than resign with the Bengals when Brown was the only one that called to offer him the veteran's minimum.

The Bengals actually making the playoffs with the shit that he brings in is truly a testament to the coaching staff (though I think it's often in spite of Marvin Lewis as well...).
