Let's say they raise the baseline HP healed by Pet Food Epsilon to the level similar to Pet food Zeta pre-patch. You just get yourself a cheaper pet food for lv60 cap BCNM which does exactly the same thing as beofre and costs less, how on earth is that a nerf?

They didn't introduce level restriction to nerf BCNM. It simply allows them to raise the HP healed by pet food without having to introduce new models which take up memory space and do exactly the same thing intended.

Very nice updates, only thing is.... Kinda disappointed there wasn't one line in that post for ANY of the 5 jobs in my signature. Made the whole thing somewhat mediocre even though there was a ton of good shit.

Oh well, moving on to the DAT Mining thread next week.

    Hell yes for QD Skillups...
Hell no for Rolls... I kinda liked it, especially in Abyssea partys.

And Damage Increase of Elemental Ninjitsu... sounds kinda interesting, since Ninja can actually DD with quite well on NIN/RDM... now please some Throwing Weapon Skill updates and some cheap shurikens and I'm satisfied for now ^^
Oh... and... hell no for my inventory space w

However, I still feel that if you are having constant problems with activate timer, and an inability to keep your puppet alive, you need more than a new JA to fix the problem.

Very large update for PUP again though.
Part of me is thinking "unsound" will, at least partly, mean that the automaton will not be at full HP. Otherwise couldn't you Machina -> Deactivate -> Activate?

Judging from the descriiption and short recast, it probably means PUP won't be able to use any manoeuvre under the effect of this new JA.

The Quick Draw thing could be major bust, and most likely will be- if we get TP SE will be damned sure the mob is, which is lame for soloing. The XI nerf, def a bust- it may be made up for in the future, but until that point they should have just left it, CORs complaining about it throwing them off should COR better.

The "Restraint" thing sounds stupid- the point of it was to have a negative effect- I mean, I'm all for it, it just seems superfluous to call it "Restraint" now.

DEA sounds a bit interesting, curious to see how it works, it could be super awesome if you can just spam throwing puppets at the mob every minute lol.

After abusing Pet Food Zeta while soloing I do not welcome the pet food change.

Actually, my theory right now is that it will be similar to trying to control a puppet without an animator. So, no maneuvers. Or, perhaps it will be something close to a "naked" puppet, no Loudspeakers, Ice makers, Tranq, etc. Good for quick, weaker nukes until the normal activate is up again. Or, as someone said earlier, perhaps the Overload threshold will be so extreme that you have to beef up your equip to prevent OLing with the DEA puppet.

As long as DEA does not effect normal Activate timer (see Jump/Despoil) in some way, DEA could easily be "abused" for hate sheding and the equivalent of things like Golden Salvage assault. I see tons of extremely amazing possibilities with DEA. PUP just keeps getting some crazy love. And a sexy new hat.

Not sure what they are referring to the perp cost of avatars but that'll mean my Fenrir could prolly be free again.

Blu spells being remembered when switching jobs came so late but glad it did.

The new Activate for PUP just sounds like a high burden near Overload state. Can't expect much else otherwise except maybe less hp/mp (total or just taken off). Lack of seperate spell timers still missing ;; still great though update again for PUP atm from speculation.

I don't think its a Diremite, the other jug pets follow their exact name paths.

Bug Broth / Quadav Bug Broth / Goblin Bug Broth
Grasshopper Broth / Noisy Grasshopper Broth / Chirping Grasshopper Broth
Carrion Broth / Cold Carrion Broth / Bubbling Carrion Broth

Even the new ones Lulush/Mandy/Sheep/Funguar anyway

Carrot Broth / Famous Carrot Broth / Lucky Carrot Broth.
    Humus / Vermihumus
Herbal Broth / Singing Herbal Broth / Dancing Herbal Broth
    Seedbed Soil / Deepbed Soil

    So logically it should be:

Blood Broth / Clear Blood Broth / "Curdled Blood Broth"

    Not

    "Curdled Plasma Broth"

I'm not saying its a Slime, But every other pet to date has followed its family Broth/Jug naming pattern. I Can't say for sure what it is, but it is without a doubt a new pet, and i hope for an Amorph.

And i wouldn't call it "more consistent" either as the last update also included a brand new pet family (Ladybugs).

I might be being overly optimistic, but my argument at least makes more sense!

However, plasma is a component of blood makeup, so curdled plasma broth actually fits in line with the blood jugs. :s

Considering the other word for plasma means an incredibly hot gas, which I highly doubt anything short of Tiamat would eat, Diremite HQ pet sounds the most likely.

(Although Tiamat pet would be the best. thing. ever.)

Blood component or not, They would have simply named the damn jug "Curdled Blood Broth" if it was a Diremite, Every single pet has followed the family name pattern. Every. Single. Pet.

It might be a Leech Pet i would say, Leeches are known blood drinkers, and with the "Blood Broth" Jug name taken by the Diremite Family blood "Plasma" might have been SE's second option.

But i will eat my fucking shoe if its a Diremite.

Edit: I more or less understand you're probably poisoned with pessimism from years of dealing with Square Enix's "Adjustment and additions.", But this one seems a little steep!

Edit2: Also, Before anyone brings up Beetles.

    Tree SAP / Scarlet SAP

    is the name pattern for that family, sap. It was the only slight discontinuity i could find x.x;

Not really pessimism, just logic. Plus, plasma tends be the whole nutrients and stuff in the blood, so it would make sense for it to be the "cream of the bloody crop" so to speak.

I'd be ecstatic if it was a slime/clot pet, or even a leech pet perhaps due to their attack down of rape and weeping deflowered virgins. But logic and SE's love of randomly breaking patterns has me believing that it's a diremite pet.

It better be a damned good one if so though.

i'm no good w/ foreign languages, but by looking at say the french or japanese translations of the update, perhaps a better assessment of the "plasma" pet could be made by looking at their word choice there? i also find it interesting they're rolling back recent changes such as the XI roll, smn perp cost, etc that they JUST implemented. while this is not completely unprecedented behavior, it is unusual for them and in addition, many of the changes seem like they were a long time coming such as mazurka's change. this leads me to wonder if some of these were implemented as a result of the changing of the guard from the old director to the new. while some things in here may come with a negative, such as QD feeding TP and battery charge getting a bit weaker overall (recharges more MP but takes more time meaning you can't slap a new one on as fast) many of these changes ring with the sound of "now that i'm in charge, we're fixing the nagging things that pissed me off." at least to me.

Eh, think its better to agree to disagree on this one.

Maybe i'm just hoping its a new pet, The last update added a new pet family, 2 of them, Coeurl and Ladybug. That and the other 3 in the update notes are clear pattern ugprades (Lizard, Fly, Flytrap), so i was banking on this one being the curve-ball new pet that rocks =\

Oh well, If its a Diremite at least it might have the chance of Awesome, Double Claw was good even on the weaker pets, upgrade it might be very nice.

    Wait and see i guess!

Activate already summons your automaton with a near-overload level of burden. Maybe with this new ability, they'll let Activate summon your automaton with no burden, ready to go right off the bat?

Though the "not full HP/MP" idea seems plausible, too. Could also be similar to our own Weakness status, only for the automaton. Using Activate summons your automaton unweakened, and maybe DEA will start it out with some temporary weakness (reduced max hp/mp, slow effect, etc.) that'll wear off after a bit. Either way, beats waiting 20 minutes.

    - It will now be possible to accumulate TP and increase marksmanship skill using the corsair ability "Quick Draw."

    - The duration of the corsair ability "Double Up" upon a roll of 11 will be reduced to five minutes.
*To compensate for this, enhancements to "Lucky 11" rolls are being planned for future updates, so please stay tuned!

PURE win ! skill up's on marksmanship ! and, was a bit sick of the 10min thingy for rolls, its screw the rotation so bad that when i rolled a 11, i always had to bother the ppl to know if they had the roll on them !

Eh, the BRD thing in this update is really only to bring Mazurka to par with Bolter's Roll (and Chocobo Jig) in terms of zone restriction. Don't get me wrong, it's nice...but it was only appropriate.

Not surprised but i really thought they would buff LR for DRK. But I guess Aero III is enough for now.
