blue screen issues

i keep getting a blue screen on my PC after booting FF14 and entering the boat CS. im pretty sure my drivers are up to date. but whenever i alt tab and come back to 14, in case there's a chance i AM in the gameplay, it says something about not detecting directx and having it shut down. whenever i go to install directx, i get an internal error problem that tells me to check my logs. im on windows 7, im using a gtx 285 OC+, and i only have 2 gb of memory at the moment. but my monitors are very old. i have the settings at the lowest resolution since thats all my monitor can handle... 1024x 768. is there any thing i can do to fix this?

not related to directX, but im surprised you can run w7 and XIV w/only 2gb ram

Are you playing fullscreen? If so it is "normal" because SE can't code a proper full screen mode, any alt tab cause it to crash with "Unable to detect" error showing.

If you play full screen mode you need to wait for XIVwindower

i actually ordered this memory a bit ago. its an OCZ triple channel memory kit i got from newegg. but only 1/3 sticks are working

they'll still replace it, but it takes like 4 weeks i dont wanna wait that long, orz ; ;

and it does have windower mode, but it does run a bit bigger than the monitor, even with the lowest settings. will getting a higher resolution monitor fix the issue for the most part?

seems windowed mode is either hit or miss tbh. on my 24inch it doesnt fit the screen. and you can't adjust it. I mean its screen size, its just not centered
