    Xbox controller shuts off

    I use my Xbox 360 controller with the wireless receiver to play FFXIV. If I don't touch the controller for a while, it turns off. Once it's off, FFXIV won't recognize it again if I turn it back on. I have to completely exit FFXIV and come back in for it to see it again.

    Any suggestions on how I can either make FFXIV find the controller again, or force the 360 controller to stay on? Right now I have to keep the controller near me and keep remembering to hit a button every few minutes.

    Not gonna be able to make xiv refind it once disconnected. You can go to device manager and find the controller and see if it has a check box for "Allow the computer to turn this device off.". I imagine the turning off is built into the controller though.

    Play & Charge cable should keep it alive, but it does leave you tethered unfortunately.

    Can also use the unofficial drivers, in the configuration. There are options to turn off "Power-Saving Mode".

    I use the JP 360wc drivers, and for some reason they don't work with XIV's gamepad config, at all.
