Yeah I was just experimenting with that and the best way to avoid being hit by certain abilities seems to be keeping on moving constantly, but it seems to be impossible to avoid one if you stand still and wait for the "cast" animation to show up, there needs to be some prediction. Or then I might just suck at it. But yeah I've avoided many Somersault Slashes (or w/e the marmot move was) now by trying to face their hairy ass most of the time.

I just had a horrible flash back to early FFXI-NA with hundreds of n00bs running circles around mobs because it makes them miss, and parties in the dunes rushing the gobs bomb arm because it "totally makes him drop it, but if it doesn't you just didn't do it right"

That's one reason why I'm not exactly enjoying doing it..

And it sort of ruins the parry stance (whatever it's called) of Marauder, but of course not getting any damage at all is better than reducing it by some amount.

No you cannot, it is capped at 8 total regional leves. They don't mean 8/region they are just using the term regional to indicate the type of leve and to separate it from the local leves.

If you can I haven't figured out. I did 4 Gridania and 4 Ul'dah on my first day in OB and it's locked out for me. I thought it was 8 per area too so I was expecting to cycle back and had a disappointing visit to the adventurer's guild my first time in Limsa. :/

i know its been asked but i must overlooked it how do you toggle on AOE on and off?

"/aoe on" "/aoe off" in a macro (needs a wait command of 1 second in the macro if you plan on using both or it just toggles it immediately.

Someone on beta forums just said you can bind it to gamepad as well, but didn't mention how. Doesn't seem to be an option in the gamepad config.

Sorry if this was answered before, but is there a NPC that sells new undergarments and undershirts? mine are wore out, and can only get them repaired to 50%, id like to swap them. Is this possible, or are we doomed to 50% wear and a icon at the top of the screen forever? I an Lalafell btw if that matters.

Seconding the above post, and wondering if there's a good place to find a list of camp locations. I have like 3 or 4 crafting levequests I have no idea how to deliver because I can't find the camp they want me to go to.

The camps are all on the map. Just scroll around until you see "Camp _____"

If it doesn't list a camp it is to be delivered to a person in town.

I havnt been able to play yet because im a PS3 user, but from what im readin ~everywhere~ is that the graphics are great, but the controls and interface just drive people crazy. Now these may be the same people who tried XI for 5 minutes and went "this is the worst MMO ever! I dont want to lose xp when i die!" So im taking it with a grain of salt, but everyone is really hating on this game right now.

Most people on here seem to think the game is coming together well.. Is it true about the control, interface, lack of mobs... overall incomplete game? I guess all MMOs need work upon release, but how much should be resolved prior to release?

Yes, the gave is very incomplete. I can't believe this is something they would tell people to play. It's like it's still in beta or something.

Some menus are redundant, all they need to do is merge some things together. A lot of shortcuts haven't been implemented yet. Control is fine, only thing I want is a little more fluidity in the battle system and arrow keys for camera. I expect more stuff to be customizable by release.

Well yeah I'm not retarded and have checked the map. That's why I asked: I can't find them on the map so I was looking for a place where I might find smaller maps or something or a list of coordinates or something because I searched the map three times over with no luck.

I'd tell you, but my server is kinda crashed and I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll ask later when I can check my journal and whatnot. One of them was in the Limsa region and the other in the Gridania region.

You can probs go after the Marmots east of the second camp, or head north and fight the bees?

I think you missed my question from earlier; I'm looking for a camp I can't find to deliver mats, not a leveling area. I think Trabia is back up now so I'll see if I can't get on and figure out which camp it was.

edit: Well it's not up, so just gonna go hunting around and see if I can find another answer in the meantime

Camp Emerald Moss from Ul'Dah quests is the one we couldn't find. And the guys of the Brugaire Consortium for the Local Leves in Limsa.
