I havnt been able to play yet because im a PS3 user, but from what im readin ~everywhere~ is that the graphics are great, but the controls and interface just drive people crazy. Now these may be the same people who tried XI for 5 minutes and went "this is the worst MMO ever! I dont want to lose xp when i die!" So im taking it with a grain of salt, but everyone is really hating on this game right now.

Most people on here seem to think the game is coming together well.. Is it true about the control, interface, lack of mobs... overall incomplete game? I guess all MMOs need work upon release, but how much should be resolved prior to release?

My biggest problem with FF14 is the lack of an auction house. Yeah, there's market wards, but there's like 8 of them per town, and you have to check every single player's bazaar, and bazaars don't have a price history.

Also, the search function is ass terrible, anima regeneration for teleporting sucks hard, mob progression is lolwut, aetherythes are a lagfest, and losing your leve when you DC is retarded.

Sorry, I haven't read this thread all the way through entirely, but I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of how to get started on smithing (or any other craft) in Ul'dah. I'm pretty sure you have to buy a tool, but where?

What are glads putting there stat points into? balance between STR VIT DEX MND? or mix of 2 or pumping it into just one?

Is it me or do I find the presence of gilsellers annoying as all hell? They spam the same shit over and over. Thank God for Blacklist. The biggest question though is why are they even attempting to sell gil when all character info is going to be reset at retail release? If I am wrong correct me please.

We had that nonsence goin on outside Limsa on Trabia. Was pretty damn annoying but unless there is something big I missed only names are being reserved @ live release and other than that everything is being wiped.

I wouldn't worry about MND too much. Very few mobs deal considerable magic damage and those that do (mostly elementals) don't bother casting much if you're in melee range.

What do they care as long as some retard buys their gil? Perhaps nobody will, but this is the human species we're talking about here, so I wouldn't bet on it.

Is there an NPC that sells these ACC+2 rings I keep seeing? Can't be leve's, because people are wearing 4.

Kind of a follow up. Is it known if they're differentiating between acc and r.acc? For that matter, attk and r.attk.

No, they're given to you after completing the first couple parts of the tutorial quest. iirc, the person in the adventurer's guild gives it to you after they make you go to the lv.1 aetheryte.
