I'd be happy if they did the FFXIII style of having you hop up/down if you're close enough to it. Any solution is better than simply having you run in place against a 2-inch ledge while grinding against it. I'm not strictly advocating jumping; I'm advocating for fixing pathing issues. It makes moving through the game feel linear, especially in Gridania.

Ionno.... use a laptop/netbook/any kind of computer that will run it and go to any wifi spot and download it onto a usb stick or something.

On a side note.... when the game hits retail are we gonna be able to torrent updates like this? It works way better than sitting on POL for 9 hours.

I know this sounds silly but where do I get the class specific guildleves like conjurer thaum etc, all I can seem to find are the land types or am I just tripping and missing something?

I think the nerdrage is getting out of hand. Like I'm starting to get them impression that there's this wave of negativity that's built up over the past month and its becoming almost a pastime to catch the wave and bash XIV way more than it deserves. I dunno if these people are just MMO loyalists playing another game or if WoW has influenced people's expectations so much that anything that differs is just too foreign, or what. But I feel like the writhing mass of haters are forming this giant rat king of XIV hate. It just feels like the complaining is no longer commensurate with the issues.

If you don't like the combat system, the story, the quest system, etc., fine, I won't argue taste. But the majority of the complaints have to do with UI, crashes, bugs, lag, yada yada, and that's not really the game. Sure these problems affect your enjoyment, obviously. But so many of these issues can be chalked up to poor/incomplete implementation, most of which can and probably will be fixed over time. So why say you hate the game when you really hate the glitches? Do this many people in general just lack the capacity to make the distinction?

No, i'm pretty sure most people hate 80% of everything involved with this game so far. The crashing/glitching is just the cherry on the shit sundae.

To offer a better explanation though, I think the hate isn't directly aimed at or related to FFXIV but mostly SE. If you've played FFXI as long as most people on this board have, you've had your fill of SE years ago. This game held promise for most of us that SE was going to change its tune, and that this game was going to be everything that FFXI should have been much earlier on. Sadly its not looking that way at all and whatever tiny bit of optimism FFXI players could muster is diminishing very rapidly.

After todays update I have crashed at least 5-7 times (1 time previously since sept 1st) The latest crash I can't log back onto Mysidia.
