Problem with that is... many of us were still playing when the first couple of 'servers are down' posts came around. It wasn't about reading the last page or two.

Now it is the lobby server that is down... at least for me, I don't know if there are people still playing, and there very might well be.

The mods can't do what you request because it is impossible.

Now please let the rest of us update the mods and the rest of the community as to what is actually happening on the client end without asking for a 'magic button'. (dunno if it is gonna be called the JP button this time around or not)

When there are 3-4 pages of people saying they can't get on, it is a pretty safe assumption that the problem you are having is the same one and there is no real point in asking.

Yeah that's true... but I was still on when they were saying this... so it's not like mods can post a 'flashing sign' that servers are down. That's all I was talking about. I read the thread and posted that 'I guess the new servers are down now too' because I was on one of the new servers.

Not trying to defend people who don't bother to read at least the last few posts before them, just was pointing out that it is impossible to make a 'server down' warning at this point.

Critical bugs still occurring 2 weeks before servers go live isn't very reassuring. Hopefully SE gets their shit together and launch goes smoothly

Critical bugs have happened at the launch of every MMO I know of. Let's just hope that this is the actual point of the open beta... and that even 10% of that shit gets resolved beforehand. It will still be buggy as fuck and have a less-than-optimized UI, and it will still be lol-mouse (Protip: don't play a FF game with a mouse... ever), but maybe it will be *slightly* cleaner than a typical MMO launch.

I don't know why people complain about the mouse. I never used the mouse in XI. All I want is a decent keyboard only interface. I really couldn't imagine playing an MMO with a mouse. Give me arrow camera movement and I'll be happy.

It doesn't matter if the queues are 2000 people long on September 22nd. The game crashes so much that people will be able to rotate in fairly regularly. Working as intended.

Srsly in no universe will they be able to handle the rush of people on the 22nd, let alone the 30th. It's going to be the worst fuckfest of all time. Too bad I'm a sucker and feel that I have to play from the beginning. The only consolation is we'll probably get a free month out of it when all is said and done.

I switched wasd to camera and numpad to movement, it's not the best but I like it a lot more than the controls they had them set as... needs more camera on arrow keys tho.

Why? Has it become some new policy that people cannot express their opinion, particularly new ones? (Imagine if a veteran member had posted that) I don't think it matters if it's his first post (albeit it isn't a good one, I wholeheartedly agree there!). Personally I think these threads have moved more toward bitching than pure speculation/questions as the game approaches (there is a lot more questioning of why SE implemented this or that rather than questions concerning game features/mechanics). We can blame the increased amount of people that now have access to the beta not liking what they see. Can anyone really say they're 100% happy with what SE has given us? Let's be honest with one another--we all love SE for the games they've given us over the years, and we know that they know the "mistakes" they made with the last MMORPG they published. I don't think it's a crazy stretch of the imagination to believe that people are expecting a little, maybe even a lot, more than what we've seen thus far. Perhaps that's why they're so very upset, qq'ing, nerdraging, whatever you wanna call it all over forums around the internet.

This forum is going to be so epic on the 22nd. The QQ will be stronger than when SE made you require a light ore to be able to re-do AA-BCNM and people wasted hours of their life waiting for the full moon to hit not knowing they needed the ore and finding out they were now x5 the cost on the AH.

This just in, just because you do it doesn't mean everyone else does. People complain about it because it's broken, simple as that.
