Leve mobs do not count; there doesn't seem to be a cap on skill gains for them.

Normal mobs on the other hand do have a cap. At Lv10, Soap and I managed to glitch some crabs into not attacking us and letting us skill up. I have videos that need to be encoded lol. But the point is... Couldn't get over 500 skill even though I definitely got more than that during the fight. Maybe the cap gets a little higher, the higher your level gets?

Any miners out there? When the strike menu comes up, is it better to try to get the circle as close to the center as possible (smallest circle) or is that circle outline in the middle the optimal strike zone? Hopefully this makes sense lol.

It's a game of hot and cold. Pick anywhere, and if you don't get anything, try a different spot -- noting if it says you are getting closer or further away from the mark.

Just errored out of the game (without a full-on crash) and am getting a lobby server error AFTER selecting my character. Just me? Or, perhaps, just Gyashl?

Edit, nevermind, guess the game just didn't want me to play for 10 minutes.

I've found if I leave it at default, then I go for the middle circle(which almost is never the "Sweet spot") then go closer - it will tell you if you are going in the right direction. If it says you are in the right area hit it around the same spot again, if it tells you that you are going the wrong way then go the opposite direction and make a larger circle.. All in all - the "mini games" of ffxiv are random.

In other old news: Since the first time I used the skill I was disappointed with Blood Rite :< Why do you make a cool description of you spelling blood and don't make the ability use your HP!! :<

I think it might be different during Leves, but I've bene unable to get past 500-520 myself depending on the level on normal mobs. I think the max might vary by level.

I think it does use HP, just a very small amount, like 3 HP or something silly.

I think every time you cast a spell while under the effects of blood rite you loose some hp, for me I lost like 10-15 hp a spell, wasnt much at all.

Didn't pay attention to that since the icon didn't show a cost plus you didn't lose hp when using the ability itself.

Um wow... The lag in game is pretty bad. Combat not going as smooth for me as it was yesterday. Takes about a split second to register actions.

same was pretty bad today and now more server crash, poof
