Is anyone else running into an error 20524 during the updating process? It won't let me go beyond that.

I was Kuya, I think Cliff's mouse fix was causing the issue. I swapped back in the original ffxivgame.exe and it installed fine

This is a serious noob question, but haven't found it throughout any thread, but here it goes

I'm Rank 4 now on my marauder, and when I level I've seem to have gotten 1/2 abilities. Where do I go to learn these? or potentially how are they aquired via guildleeves?

And I guess another question regarding Stat allotment.

As a Physical DD, should I be focusing on things outside of STR, VIT, DEX?

Actions & Traits.

Click the small arrow on the top right of the menu to bring up the ability list for each class. Mouse onry.

I can assign skills and navigate the menu fine with a controller now. Seems to be fixed.

Need to go into ur ability /action bar menu and select the kingdom the top to get the ability pull down list

Yup, everything the pad couldn't do in P3 works now.

Can it access the menu on the lower right hand corner of the screen? I've never been able to do that. Always have to use the mouse to open the menu for food. Once there I can scroll with the gamepad again. lol

Err, I could use the keyboard to select abilities and classes from the drop down menu in P3. It wasn't mouse only back then, certainly isn't mouse only now. Just gotta press right a couple of times.

There's a button for that, I think it's... U, or something. I'm sure if you bound that to a pad you could open the food menu.

Still havn't managed to log on x.x How many times does it take you guys to get past the maint screen when logging on (also, does it take you stright to the maint page when you don't enter anything at all in UN/PW etc?)

Is this horrible stuttering while running related to hardware mouse at all? I thought it was my fps being awful but I started up fraps and I'm getting a steady 55-60 fps with some low settings but it seems very choppy/stuttery while running. I guess it could also be some poor running animations but not quite sure.

Haven't been able to log into Besaid all day, although other servers seem to be unaffected.

After selecting my character, I get:

"An error has occured on the game server.
(30002)1283795832,23603254,5"

Thanks SE, for your ridiculously fucking cryptic error messages. Is there REALLY any need to make it that complicated? What is wrong with just saying..
"Cannot connect to server: World may be down for maintenance. Please check your connection and try again later."

Seconding this.. Sick of straining my eyes to read the dark purple text against a busy background.

ps. Is there anywhere for OB players to submit feedback? I have found an absolute ton of spelling errors and bits which are not translated. Would be nice if I could let them know somehow :/.

Trying to explore the nuances of the game, hence the mining query. Wanted to try to repair my cotton robe, purchased the ingredients from the Clothcraft guild in Ul'Dah, but the Repair option on the item is still greyed out. Can I assume that my Clothcraft skill is too low to repair it? Just hit rank 2 by trial and error tossing items into the synthesis box lol.
