Oh, ok. I feel better now. Me and a friend level'd for like an hour/two and we only had like 2k to show for it. So I was like aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh.

So, assuming they follow through with this "favor" system, come launch-time, are they going to have heavy armor drop from leves as well? From what I'm seeing now, Lancers get the short end of the stick because everything that drops still is cloth gear, which even glads can use. If I put any of this stuff on (short of equipment slots that the starter gear didn't come with) I'm losing stats.

From exping Pugilist to 10 and Fisher to 11, NPCing a vast majority of everything I got... I spent all of my 30k reward on jewelry in Ul'dah and still have over 80k left... (eagerly awaiting a new fishing rod)

A reward for a Rank ~20 Battle Leve in The Black Shroud (Nine Ivies?) I could have taken earlier today was gil and a chainmail body. The rewards can change each time though. I took on "Fishing Emerald Moss" the other day and the reward was gil and a Willow Fishing Rod. I crashed during that leve (MOTHERFUCKER) and the next time I got to try it, the reward was gil and a Cotton Scarf (still awesome, but I wanted that fucking rod).

Anyone have an idea how often Behests happen and if there's any way to become aware of them other than happening across the NPC at the camp by luck?

I experienced this tonight on Figaro world. A character at Camp Bearded Rock was spamming in /shout (site name omitted as to prevent anyone in beta from buying gil from this offender):

Please start banning these people now. This is VITAL if you want a well-working player economy.

It really helps to not be somewhere laggy, but it's the same as the squirrel's attack that you can sidestep. However, I did notice that Opo-opos have two different attacks that look about the same, I'm not sure which of the two is the one you can easily avoid (assuming it's not both). I would tell you but they are bugged for me and just letting me fist their buttholes repeatedly.

This is crazy. I can't believe I forgot this: where's the call for help option in this game? SE loves keeping the same mechanics from one game to another, so why get rid of that? We have 3 golbin smithi- err, wolves up here in Grinadia just raping everyone. Why can't we do what we did in the jungle and CFH and have everyone beat on them at once?

Did I say anything I said wasn't a guess or *gasp* spec-u-la-tion? Weird, I didn't. Ass. I wasn't even talking about how it currently works, I was talking about what we could be looking at in the end.

It's fun getting bitched at for being currently wrong about future speculations when speculating in a speculation thread about a game still in beta.

I'm wondering how much a relief our reliance on Anima will get upon the implementation of airships... 1/day is really bad with how much could easily be spent per day just doing leves, especially at higher levels when the correct camp isn't a stone's throw from the front gate.

how are you guys able to do your leves? My game crashes every time i initiate one (windows msg telling me ffxiv has stopped working)... i know this is a known issue, but did you guys do anything in particular to prevent your game from crashing or is it just totally random and inevitable?

Funny, I've only tried a few leves now. I can play for hours without any problems but a few minutes into every leve I started today, the game crashes. I got the day off and I just went seven hours straight without an issue. Started a leve and got kicked out.

Playing at night is much better... so much more peaceful with only the japanese running around.
