I am disappointed there's no way to change the command to take a screenshot. My keyboard doesn't seem to have a scroll lock key.

Edit: Problem solved. I made a scroll lock key with one of the programmable buttons.

Yeah, Archer appears to be mostly pure DD with a little bit of enfeebling, while Lancer feels a lot more Dancer-ish.

my fps lowered significantly with todays patch.. yesterday i was playing with 25-40 in city or crowed places 1440x900 2x AA , 60 capped outside.. today i just cant get over 30 no matter where, i even turned off AA..

My fps hasn't gone down as far as I can tell (not using a program to measure it though), but the game is running much worse with long pauses of 10-30 seconds in towns where it won't respond at all. In the past I only had to deal with stuttering...

You know, I have XIVconfig's AA turned on as well as my ATI cards' AA all the way up. I'm not seeing any anti-aliasing. Shit's pixelly-jagged.

I have Vsync on force in CCC but it looks like I'm still seeing tearing (could just be from the general poor performance I'm getting though).

Are Nvidia users having as bad of a time as ATi users?

So how does weapon degradation work in this game? Does DoT / Damage Reduction scale down as the weapon integrity decreases? I've read that NPCs can only repair to about 50% which provides about an hour of use also.

Question: Who do I talk to or how do I begin the second set of story quests? At least I think there is some. I've heard someone say you can when you hit Plvl 10 but I just did and can't find out in Ul'dah. Is there even a second set? Did I just make this all up in my head?

I might be incorrect but I think you have to hit rank 10 then use your NPC linkpearl.
It might have been physical 10 though, I haven't tried starting the second bit of story yet.

Yea I'm at physical level 10 now.. And the NPC pearl isn't active. Was a good idea though.

They moved it up. Think its like 70 or 75% now.

There is no marker on my map, and I spent a lot of time wandering in northern thanalan and never found the person i was looking for.

The rate sucks, but its a luxury that you need to plan out ahead of time. And not blaze through 100 a day. What would end up being the use of airships if you can just teleport your happy ass across the Continent. Same with Chocobos.

We just need the chocobos ASAP. I don't want permanent teles as that'd just take away the size of the world, but right now the zones are pretty huge and running through them takes too long.

Did you have to go to a higher or lower elevation? I had that issue with a leve in lima.

our guess is that 1. they are testing their bots and 2. getting their name out there for release. and also 3. trying to see if they can get some starter money off of idiots who don't know wtf.

Are you looking at your regular map? You have to go to your journal and select the quest, and at the bottom it should say map. Click that and it will open your map and show you the marker.

okay so i think i'm going to go archer, could anyone point me to a build for it? also what starter city, if it matters, would be best for archer?
