Edit: Jesus Christ, look at the size of the "buffalo..."
I saw a red icon next to the menu button. Hopefully they're adding more buttons in the corner to make the UI more mouse-friendly.
Sorry if it's old news but...
Wow, I was busy fixing up my pc for a few days and finally got to play again. Gotta say the input lag for battle has improved a lot. Easily depleting the stamina bar now.
I approve of the Badass.
The "Wyrm?" almost looks like the Biast i ran into way north of Skull Valley, which aggroed and 1-shotted me for over 3k DMG, only I don't recall it having wings. It was a few days ago and haven't been back up that way since.
Also, that "Badass?" almost looks like a pic I saw that was captioned as Judge on another site, possibly GM armor? That link is floating around somewhere, I think they were images from a model viewer of some sort.
Cannot wait to get a look at that fucking buffalo. Golem looks like it will be a sight to see as well.
Is it just me or does Badass look like shadowlord?
*Edit
Looks like a pudding at the very bottom there! And from what I can vaguely make out Badass is called 'Knight' (Kanji I can't make out, might be Oni) And Minotaur is Cyclops. =D
"Badass" looks a lot like Odin. Note the horns, which Odin often has.
Oh yes, or indeed the Shadow Lord. Which would be kinda nifty.
Model Viewer stuffs
This is the link I was referring to. Thought it was here I saw it, but was on beta site forum. Upon a closer look, the badass is not quite the same as the Judge image, however there are some interesting pics on there.
Going to guess that the zebra bird is a cockatrice, they looked a little like that in some of the older FFs. I believe that probably is a flan/pudding below the word "equipment." Also, there appears to be a hecteyes(?) above the pudding, and some sort of insect(maybe?) in between "monsters," and "equipment."
Wrist-Flick + Stone Throw and then kite it the opposite direction and hope it de-aggros in a nice, wide-open area. MGS around it and you're home-free. You might have to kite it away twice, so when you can't MGS back by it, you kite it once and you lose it before you reach your logging point.
I got 2/3 of my Promising Fishing Points in the first 5 minutes, then I spent 15~20 minutes trying to get past one goddamn Angler to the last point, but I eventually managed with the above strategies.
Or buy Beastkin Eluder and flip off the Lone Wolf while you traipse on by.
I was considering just kiting them but there are 3 wolves back there I think... the whole area has them.
the wolves are a bit tricky, i just ran for it made it 2/3 times lol. anglers however only seem to sight argo. i walked not 2 inches behind them and they never aggro'd me.
Are there really no Rank~20 Fieldleves yet?
(those wolves really are a bitch, they give chase for a long time and they're pretty fast)
Could try going the other way(SW then N), but the enemy that way is probably another wolf I guess?
Pay someone to aggro it and run past, had a party of 8 a few days ago and we all got one shotted by ws.
I had a bit of 'fun' trying to upgrade my gear. Yeah, I couldn't solo Dodos and moles at level 12 Pugilist so I figured something was wrong, so decided to get the full set of Hempen. Couldn't find NPCs selling them... so I had to craft them. I managed to make turban, hands, tights as level 1 clothcrafter; but the body was super retarded.
Fun fact: you need tons of wind crystals for clothcraft, and it's the rarest by far, but I fugured out that the fly swarms SE from Drybones drop them and are easy to kill.
The Hempen shirt was super retarded to get. I had to get rat fur, but there ain't any rats in Ul'dah. I travelled to Limsa, fortunately the starter rats drop pelts a lot. But oh wait, to make a rat fur, you need formic acid (sp) which I couldn't find from NPCs, not even the guild in gridania. So here I go farming moles until i finally get a bottle of acid. First synth break, second too.. 3rd success.
Fortunately I didn't break the three subsequent partial recipes using the rat fur to finally make my hempen shirt. Damn it, whoever takes the time to make gear out of ingredients not sold by NPC at retail, will be a rich bastard.
Random complaints:
why can't the NPC repair my earrings, rings, neck, bracelets? why cant I equip 4 rings?
what's the point of doing craftleves except waste your time? no special skill gains, and the recipes they give are all over the internet, rewards are retarded.
Anyone on Trabia got a couple spare Fish Glue they are willing to sell?
