Anyone know how to get to the island on the far left of Coerthas?
Yeh, I can only find caves that contain 3 bombs each and nothing else besides a deep pool of water. Shame.
anyone else getting a version check time out? i logged in fine a few hours ago, but know i can't even get passed the version verification.. =/
Even FFXI has the "hey lets put mobs 10 levels higher than what your average person is supposed to be at" in their zones. Putting random high level quadav, for instance, at the highlands, and moreso with tremor rams. Putting extremely high level goblin smithies around all the mandragoras.
I'm not surprised at all to see this smattering of high level mobs walking around with low level mobs, and I'm especially not surprised to see that often times they share respawns.
There are a ton of good camps that are potentially ruined for small groups by having a low level and mid level on the same respawn, or a mid level and high level doing the same. The problem is exacerbated further when one aggros and the other does not. The crab camp out in corelthas is oftentimes ruined by too many respawning slugs that take the place of the crabs you defeat.
I don't forsee it being different come launch because FFXI had the same system. Killing a crab in the dunes didn't always mean another crab would pop. You might get a pugil, or a fly, or even a goblin, depending on where you were, and while it really didn't matter very much when your camps were stationary, it actually hurts roaming parties quite a bit to constantly have to watch their backs (and sides and fronts!) for a randomly spawning high level aggro while fighting a monster.
Edit: Lets not forget the awesome stalking mechanics of many annoying mobs. There's nothing better than constantly having to switch between a single target debuff and group cures because this opo-opo wants to tag along and watch you fight leve mobs and your AOE doesn't discriminate. Its even more fun when you've already started casting an AOE and said opo-opo lottery spawns right in your line of fire.
Lol Pure Energy is a mob. How strange.
I made some Sheepskin Subligars. They sold like hotcakes to JPs... Funny how JPs get all excited about subligars...

I did notice that the recipe is specific to certain colored hempen cloths (only brown and grey). I could not make it using the undyed or the beige hempen cloth.
Japan sells used panties in vending machines. Its no surprise that they'll go gaga over mithras in panties. Your best bet is to craft a ton of them come launch. I know I'll be going straight for the bronze/brass subligar for an easy profit.
Just found some place in the very north of Coerthas with an NPC named Ladislas standing in front of a cave. Says I cannot enter Hengr's Crucible. Tried to get in and just says "You cannot proceed any further". I assume it is for a Mission or some sort. Could just be a non implemented area though. 52 across, 1 down. Finally found a cave that didn't just have 3 mobs in it XD
Subligar has some of the best stats SE is sick!
Yes, I agree that they have very nice stats for the level.
Subligars are awesome, I hope they have something like the femina subligars ... or the leopard skin bikini's npc's have that a player can craft later or something >.>
Why don't they ever make some slutty tops to go along with the slutty subligar? Not that I actually want them, but where are the battle bikinis and whatnot? SE always makes a robe or leather jerkin top with some slutty subligar or hot pants ensemble, like they're too afraid to show a little cleavage or underboob.
Grow a pair, Japan, and stop smelling middleschooler's used panties!
Stop saying cliff developed this FFXIV windower. He didn't.

SE is already doing microtransactions by making us pay for more NPCs, which come with 80 storage spaces. I don't need to tell them how to nickel and dime the playerbase. Frankly, I didn't make a case for anything. SE will never make any revealing outfit tops, because its not "the Japanese way" Its all about bloomers, panties and short skirts - its seeped into most aspects of their culture.
Its just strange to try to look into the world of FFXIV and understand why the women would want to run around with long-sleeved coats with panties. Moreso why there would be some amazing defensive property associated with little more than a crotch-protector.
