Who really downloads and runs any kind of patch/code without realizing it couldn't potentially screw things up.
Same people who click flashing ads that they won money or people who click your sig. Just a precaution to stop people who get errors and can't identify why. Also because of the cryptic nature of beta errors this will also help prevent them from spamming the forums with HALP!!! topics.
INC SE's hardware mouse mass banning
It's funny that the SE Defense Force comes through the woodwork again and is for some reason annoyed that a solution was found for this hilarious problem.
"Blarhghaghagllarghl you shouldn't do this Square Enix WANTED this game to lack something every other PC game has!"
Herp, meet derp.
Your sig still scares the shit out of me.
Just to be clear, my post about SE losing face wasn't an SE Def post. I think its hilarious that another community member is taking things into their own hands and fixing SE mistakes. How embarrassing for the company and the ones in charge of designing/producing the game.
OMG this is AWSOME.
Are every single one of your posts for pointing out the SE Defense Force?
Because it's more irritating than they are.
Anyway, will definitely be giving this fix a try, I hate software mouse in any game.
Thank god Cliff is still around. Let's hope he works on a patch that can survive updates.
I wonder if it's possible to unlock the arrow keys, because that still irritates me.
Yes, they are -- and I'm glad it's working. I don't take part in discussions, but I love making fun of these fanboys that hopelessly defend a developer that makes completely illogical design choices with an absence of coherent explanation for them.
You sound mad.
On a note about control improvements -- the ability menu definitely needs some mouse-friendly modifications. Apparently Drag & Drop is unheard of Japanese game development. Selecting an ability, then hitting "add to Main Hand", then clicking on my desired place on the ability bar could all be simplified with me dragging Haymaker to the fuckin' third spot on my ability bar.
Again, an illogical design choice for the PC platform. It's incredibly obvious that what I'm forced to do when I feel like switching around abilities is meant for nothing but a controller.
I think the mouse patch is great, but I do seem to have a slight issue with it. I mostly use a PS2 controller and normally the cursor disappears when I hit a button. With the hardware mouse patch, the cursor doesn't go away so I have to hide it in the corner. Is everyone else having this issue? Regardless, it's still definitely worth having a hardware mouse.
He's a 1/10 at best.
Gave the hardware mouse a go, so much nicer, goddamn.
