Reasons why XIV is absolutely terrible

Ksandra pretty much mentioned everything I hate about targeting.

When I was talking about controls, the only things accessible by pressing a hot key basically are the menu, the map and well the emote list. It would be nice to be able to access my inventory or gear in a less awkward way than tabbing through a menu. Equipping new gear is just horrible, especially since the mouse works so poorly. I really don't remember how this worked in xi anymore, but I'm very sure it wasn't this bad. I really suck at describing things.

I just realized you only have 100 whatevers to teleport, each teleport costs 4 whatevers, and the auto regeneration rate on them is shit.

You will effectively unable to travel anywhere after just a few days. You get approximately 25 teleports, you will probably teleport twice per day, once to town for guildleves and then once back out onto the field. If you do like I was doing you'll teleport to multiple camps for multiple guildleves. What the fuck. Is there anyway to recover your anima?

The teleports cost 6, 4 or 2. 2 for return if you're not dead, 4 for teleporting in the same area and 6 from one area to another. I've been told you recover 2 every 8 hours. So yes. it sucks.

Numbers can you explain to me why anyone would go back to FFXI after playing WoW?

Camping shit for hours, auto attacking so you can use a weapon skill every 10 seconds, casting 10 second long spells, casting a few spells and then having to rest for 2 minutes, years between new content, zero PVP, takes ten years to get from one place to another.

It all just seems so terrible compared to fresh PVE and PVP content released at a decent rate, quick and fun ability rotations for dps/tanks/healers, interactive boss fights with new and different mechanics for every boss and even normal mobs, the ability to do a lot of shit solo so you can play at a casual rate, instanced dungeons so you don't have to fight against botters to claim shit. I didn't try WoW at first because I was lolcasualezmodefgts and then I started playing and I became a god by applying the same amount of effort that I did in FFXI. There's heroic mode PVE and competitive arena PVP for players that choose to be more hardcore.

I just don't understand.

More like WoW is completely terrible and just isnt fun to play at all. Some game mechanics are cool and I like a lot of the things they've implemented for their own game, but the overall style, game play, and etc just arent fun when put together.
