Auto-sort so I don't lose any more cotton synths <_< freaking thing costs lightning crystals, losing those hurt.
And yes, mailbox damnit.
I still think it's a little bit obnoxious that there isn't an ingame crafting 'recipe book' in this day and age. Even if you don't want to tell what everything is when we hit a certain level at least have a system of some sort of saving - IE: Once you create an item it's saved automatically which can then be chosen to be displayed by a drop down menu from then on. It's an absolute crap shoot to have to close down the client to look up something on the internet since alt-tabbing crashes - and I'm way too 'new school' to actually use pen and paper, I prefer notepad <_<.
On a another note - I'm really wishing their was some form of 'inventory sort' like console RPG's - IE: Sort by quantity, name, and especially TYPE. I would really love it if all my weapons(by type), then all my armor by slot, then all my crafting items by what craft and have everything listed alphabetically inside it's own 'seperator' so inventory would look something like:
Weapons:
Ordered by class from A-Z then by name of weapon from A-Z
Armor:
Ordered by slot from A-Z then by name of equipment from A-Z
Crafting Items:
Ordered by craft from A-Z then ordered by name of item from A-Z
Random Garbage Items:
Ordered by category then ord..you get the idea.
Would really make the many of us leveling multiple jobs/crafts/etc a lot easier navigation of our inventory :/
[If this is already implemented I'm going to feel dumb, lol]
Why do I have to browse my entire inventory every time I pick a gear slot to change? If you won't let me wear my pants on my head, or cotton bolls in my ear, don't give me the option.
Similarly, would be nice to see gear wear without selecting a slot first.
You can select gear already from the bottom list in the attributes and gear window, and will highlight only the slot in which you can equip the selected item
Either way you are going to have to scroll through a bunch of shit first.
Was nothing wrong with FFXI's way of doing it. If I click head slot, only head pieces should show up, nice and simple. Hell SE could even really blow us away and make the not optimal pieces greyed out or red or something, but I won't hold my breath for any improvements on this.
Apparently more clicking & scrolling is the in thing for nextgen games.
I'd like to see a server status page like XI has.
I know the Information tab has this but it is not a constantly updated list of all servers in an easy to view color bar thingy style. Then traffic tracker would be cool too if it was on an out of game interface.
I would also like to see some function of blocklist/report spam on the official blog pages and an official forum.
Eh, if these things exist I have yet to find them but I am looking.![]()
Oh Lord yes please !Arrow key camera movement.
F1-F6 --> party members, or some type of <stal> function.
It really baffles me that most of you think that all the things that were implemented in ffxi following the common sense rule (search function, inventory auto-sort, party members easy targetting, etc...) are not in this game right now and thus will never be.
Your whining about it won't change it, those things take time, just be patient. Oh yes, patience and the internet...
Edit: If you wanna cry some rivers, do so on some new things at the very least...
I want Attributes and Elemental Affinity to have separate re-assignments.
I also want a little gauge to represent equipment durability alongside the fraction for quicker reference...
Again, I want to be able to trade equipment regardless of it's current durability. 100% only is bullshit. I understand they might want to reduce scamming by people trading damaged gear, but with a little durability gauge, that would be easily avoided.
Sounds like it was lost in the massive TO DO pile along with inventory sorting.
The ability to cancel or exchange local leves as well as an indication that a subcraft is required for a crafting leve before you take it.
Yeah it was in Alpha along with inventory sort. :/
Fuck this. That information should be available at a glance. I want armor/weapon slots to be outlined in Yellow and Red to show <50%/<25% durability.I also want a little gauge to represent equipment durability alongside the fraction for quicker reference...
(Inventory Sort)Been a FF staple, hopefully they grow a brain.
Not playin so curious. Has anyone got a skill that costs 70, 80, 90% of the stamina bar? Wonder if skills will be like that after you get a higher. Be nice to actually gauge your att's/stamina during a "real" battle, could make for crit wins and losses on important fights.
One thing I want is a Stamina bar that actually does what it was advertised to do in Alpha to Beta video. Not to mind@#$% people into thinking combat is faster when all your doing is going through a process of attack, lockout, attack, lockout, weaponskill, lockout, ect... Then because of the 1000 TP stamina cost of weaponskills it makes you think you actually did something because the bar is depleted (each lock out is somewhere between 2-3 seconds). Also to make combat not suck as much on certain class cut the second animation on attacks that only hit one time, why am I attacking twice when I'm only hitting once?
It makes it look like your spamming (even though you are spamming one button mostly) when you press the key once however you're not, it just makes it look like you're really burning rubber while fighting while you're actually on a tricycle. The extra animation causes further delay on attacking making it fell like your slowly loading a cannon so much so that you hit the 2-3 second lockouts because you qued an action while the lame double-one attack animation is playing. Sometimes your bar will lockout completely to the point where the server won't even register your actions all together and you'll be stuck in limbo for an 8 second lockout (I know for a fact it's not lag because I tested it).
So I'm not sure if this is another excellent example of spaghetti server code or poor implementation of gameplay mechanics, it's hard to tell because many factors make it look like both.
