I personally wanna see Sabin or Edgar from FFVI. Both would be great and have a bunch of their own abilities they could bring to the table.
Amarant would be badass in this game, as would Shadow. We need a ninja. Edge, Amarant, or Shadow.
Shadow's a fucking merc. Put him on Chaos side like Golbez for half the game, then he eventually switches to the good guys when he "finds himself" or some cliche tripe.
I just want fucking Interceptor blocking hits for me while I hurl shuriken.
Sounds to me that you want to be painting pictures while Interceptor blocks shit.
Underrated, you mean... people rarely even talk about her.
She's awesome though. She has personality unlike a certain fighter.
From what I've seen on these boards, people seem to be in love with her. She was a fun character, but I never understood why everyone is so obsessed with her.
Awesome character with a unique personality, who DROPKICKS GODS and still has storyline relevance with new content.

It's not obsession, but rather the game constantly reminds you how awesome she is. One need not be obsessed to remember it. And personally, I see her as the character in FFXI with the strongest moral compass. When you first reach Al'taieu, everyone else is ready to sacrifice you 'for the good of the world' and she is just like 'nah, fuck that... we're doing this my way'. You don't often get a character that's fun/funny, and takes charge like that... oh, and did I mention she dropkicks gods?
Whenever I think of Prishe I just can't help but picture a young, girl version of Inuyasha.
Although Prishe as an extra FFXI representative wouldn't be too bad. She is pretty memorable.
It's kinda weird, but for FFXI I always think of the community first and how it's so group oriented before anything else. It'd be kinda cool if a party of "Adventurers" ended up being one playable entity. Like instead of switching out weapons like Vaan or modes like Lightning, you'd actually switch out party members who'd have different parameters and abilities. Obviously they'd all be treated as the same character (as in they all share the same HP/EX/Brave).
Though I'm sure that'd be too difficult to implement... would be interesting though. Skillchaining and MBing or something for HP damage?!
FF6 I'm probably rooting for Celes. Or if it's gotta be a villain, maybe Emperor Geshtal? Though every single new character introduced has been a "Hero" type... hmm...
I'm curious, what about Prishe makes you think InuYasha? That seems pretty odd to me.
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201...dia_world_map/Last week's Jump had preliminary details on on Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy's new world map feature. Sister publication V Jump has delivered a few additional details.
Dissidia is set on a large world map and has players head off on an adventure to save the world which is being devastated by the power of Chaos.
Official media of the Duodecim world map has yet to be released, but some readers (thanks NeivaDias!) have pointed out that it looks exactly like the world map from Final Fantasy 1, shown here:
Screenshots in V Jump show the player controlling such characters as Lightning and Vaan in a 3D environment. There are treasure boxes to be found here and there.
The world is apparently a dangerous place due to "Imitation," creatures created by Chaos, that roam about. The magazine also mentions the presence of gimmicks and devices, with one screen showing a boulder in the distance. There's no explanation on what the enemies or devices will do.
Jump also confirms that Duodecim will have the option for menu-based controls. A similar option appeared in the first Dissidia, but Jump, strangely, refers to it as a new mode. Using this mode of input, you select commands like move, fight and defend from a menu like in an RPG. You can also easily release EX Bursts and perform assist commands.
For next month's issue, V Jump is hinting at a "shocking" new character reveal. Given the timing of the release, this could be in reference to a new Jump Festa reveal, a new character reveal from the January 1st Production Department Premier event, or both.
Menu-based sounds like a blast from the past. Good stuff.
I wonder what character's reveal could actually be described as "shocking".V Jump is hinting at a "shocking" new character reveal.
Well we already have Sepiroth, so.
Watch it be Sora from KH or some shit.
