Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy

The latest issue of Jump has final confirmation that Final Fantasy X's Yuna will be appearing as a playable character in Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy.

Yuna was first hinted at in Duodecim's Jump Festa trailer, where she was briefly seen walking on water in a scene any FFX fan should recognize. You can see that trailer here.

Jump has just a few details about the character. She'll be able to call Bahamut, Shiva and Ixion into battle. For her EX Burst, she uses Ikai Okuri which calls out all summons at once.

If Square Enix's PR pattern for Duodecim continues, Famitsu will have a full look at Yuna next week, complete with developer commentary. It's also expected that the character will be featured at Square Enix'x premier event next week.

Outside of Yuna, Jump also has a look at Tifa's fourth costume, a Yoshitaka Amano design that gives the FFVII heroine a short red mini skirt. To get this costume, you'll need to pick up a first print run copy of the game, which contains the product code necessary for making the download.

Everyone who identified that foot in the water as Yuna’s is right! It’s official, Yuna the sullen summoner from Final Fantasy X is a playable character in Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy.

Shonen Jump has the news and says Yuna has the ability to control two Aeons at the same time. The magazine has a screenshot that shows Yuna controlling Shiva and Ixion for simultaneous attacks. Yuna can also summon King Bahamut in Dissidia 012[duodecim].

Her EX Burst sounds absurdly powerful. Translated as Sending off to the spirit world, this attack makes Yuna call all of her Aeons for a consecutive set of attacks. Hmm.. I wonder if that includes "secret" Aeons like the Magus Sisters, Anima, and Yojimbo.

Ixion and Shiva seem to do Brave Attacks, while Bahamut does HP attack

And something unrelated I forgot to post earlier, but you can make and share your own quests in Dissidia 012

Sounds like Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy will have a robust single player mode. The PSP pre-sequel has new episodes with characters like Lightning and Laguna plus the entire storyline from Dissidia: Final Fantasy.

You’ll be able to play through the previous PSP game’s story using assist moves and other revisions made for Dissidia 012[duodecim]. Past episodes have newly created short scenarios to play too.

Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy also lets players make the fanfic of their dreams. You can make and exchange original quests in Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy. It isn’t clear how players distribute quests, but leaky retailer Game Star says quests can be shared across the country. Battle for Tifa’s heart scenario, here we come!

Square Enix included a data import feature where your save file from Dissidia: Final Fantasy or Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning can be carried over. All character levels are retained in Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy plus you get a special accessory as a bonus.

Looks nice but I wonder if she'll end up being a gimmick character who doesn't really perform well against anyone.
It might be the typical "pure mage stereotype" thing but am I the only one imagining close-ranged characters slaughtering her?
Hopefully Yuna gameplay videos will prove me wrong.

This. I'd love to see Barthendulus and a FFXI villain. Seems unfair that XI and XIII only get one character.
There are also way too many warriors of Cosmos. Even Kuja genuinely seems to be on her side for the first part of the story (wtf?).

I'd like either Lilith or Eald'narche to respresent XI's villainry, didn't really care much for XIII's villain so I won't be too sad there. Was expecting Vivi from IX aswell but not sure if they'd go ahead with that one because of the similarities to Shantotto

I keep thinking everytime someone posts about a new villain or hero, that didn't they state there isn't a 'hero' or 'villain' side this time around?

Of course that may be just me hoping they add Lilisette

But yes, if they are doing a character each month (so far been that way?) then theres only 1-2 left? V, VI, IX, XI still missing... was mention that the other SNES ones so at least VI most likely, mm
