Still a month and a half til release. I'm sure they still have some surprises up their sleeves. I'd like to think we'll be getting a bunch of other assist characters now that Aeris has been confirmed as assist-only.

So Prishe sounds to me like a female Jecht and Gilgamesh sounds like he'll be a heavy hitting, and therefore slower, version of Bartz or Firion.

Excited to play them either way.

According to rumors, it seems that FFXIII is going to get another Cosmos character. Miners found a white background in the character data of the demo while Gilgamesh had a black background.

Calling Fang, since she's the only character who doesn't share more than a main role with Lightning.
With the whole "jumping sides" theme (see: Kain, Terra, Cloud and Tidus) she would fit well.

I guess Cid Raines could work too, though.

I'm expecting at least one good side character from FF6, it seems really nuts that there wouldn't be with such an outstanding cast of characters that all have great potential story and move set wise... Especially Shadow

Or Celes. Cyan is a bit too old man I think

Prishe sounds exactly as people thought she would be, Monk weapon skills with some White Mage spells and a focus on skillchaining. And Gilgamesh seems to have Blue Magic at his disposal as well as some katana techniques.

Prishe sounds exactly like I imagined her: skillchain user lol. She's gonna have lots of flashy effects :D
I'm assuming she also gets a damage boost if you manage to create a Light skillchain and hit with Banish, Holy or Banishga. Unless those attacks are HP attacks but they could always have some sort of BRV damage.

Ehh didn't want to double post but here are the Ex-Mode/Ex-Bursts to not clump up that past post

Prishe:
Ex-Mode: Prishe EX Burst [Shining Five] (or Dazzling/Brilliant)
EX Effect [Hundred Fists] Given the ability to link 3 WS's(Weapon Skills) together. It also increases your speed.

Gilgamesh:
EX Burst [The Greatest Blade]
EX Effect [Eight Closed Sacred Sword Paths] (very rough translation)
He picks one of his 8 swords to use during EX mode each with own abilities

Excalibur
All damage is multiplied by 2

Excalipoor
All damage dealt is reduced to 1

Naginata (A type of Spear I believe)
Equip's a spear with incredible reach/range

Masamune
Generates a lot of EX Force

Genji's Katana
Depletes opponents EX Gauge

Zantetsu Sword
Quick Draw style of attack that can instantly cause Brave Break

Battle Axe (awesome)
A weapon with a wide range of damage, if lucky can hit for massive damage.

Chicken Knife(rofl)
Lower HP higher damage will be dealt (by user)

There are notes (sometimes silly) that describe the sword that were included but those were left out for now just so the effects could be translated first.

IE Chicken Knife's note: For some reason you hear the voice(yes voice) of a chicken while wielding it. The knife's effect(ability) resembling another knife's must be my imagination.

Note: Special Thanks to Monokeros and http://omoteuragame.blog29.fc2.com/blog-entry-2285.html . Without either it'd been harder to translate this AND harder to extract information. (Otherwise I'd have to search the game for it again and that would be a pain.)
