While the mods aren't that impressive, I'm curious if it could lend itself to basically the Dissidia engine being jacked and edited to a modder's content as a sort of next-gen MUGEN.

Those are just texture swaps. I looked at the models for the original dissidia, and if you got someone with decent 3D modelling skills, you could easily do some cool shit and actually make characters.

Here's to hoping you can mod it, because I would be on that all day every day.

Sprite Cecil looks great in both forms. I wish they'd give Kain the same treatment. His original sprite is still my favorite out of any game.

any idea how long the 12th cycle is. story is boring as shit and a waste of time if you bother to grind the characters a little before playing..
not to mention I'll have to play thru it again in English in 2 weeks.

Yes. After beating the prologue you unlock the first Dissidia game, called "Light to All", and it plays out on the open world w/ some changes.

Yeah so you can pretty much just sell/trade the first Dissidia because you're getting two games in one.

duodecim is almost akin to what Super Street Fighter 4 is to SF4 in that sense..
you get the original tweaked + a lot of new stuff

the original story is different because theyve changed the purely board system with the world map and dungeons, as well as added manikins from the new characters into the mix..

if youre gonna go ahead and complete everything over again i suggest grinding your hero side levels if you havent, so that you can import their levels over and breeze through everything
