So, vs almost all AI (I haven't seen an exception yet), pick Yuna, use Energy Ray, win. AI seem to usually never try to dodge it.

Haha, noticed this while leveling her. It was amusing watching them just stand there and get hit by it everytime.

Very limited movelist (she literally has 3 or less moves of each type, so you can equip every one of her moves at once) but she's surprisingly good. All her brave attacks come out ridiculously fast and you can punish any fuckups your opponent makes with Valefor very easily since it has ridiculous range. She doesn't have a particularly reliable HP attack though. The AI sucks at dodging most of them, but another player is a different story. That's not to say they're bad, just that a good player will be able to avoid a lot of them. But you should be able to easily find some assist setups that let you chain brave > assist > HP attack. Her EX mode owns too. Alters all of her attacks in some way, either making the move safer to use (the Valefor projectile will summon Ifrit to do a melee swipe at the same time), harder to dodge or just doing way more damage. I wasn't expecting to like her but she ended up being one the characters I ran through the 000 story with 'cause she was awesome. Only trouble is a real lack of variety in her since she has such a limited movelist.

I think one of the main problems I found out with the English voice-over is that they are forced to make sure they keep the same "tone" as the Japanese voices, at least for the battle ones. So in Japanese, if the person's battle sound has a certain pitch, the english VA has to emulate it as faithfully as possible.

I forget where I heard about this, but I remember the Kuja English VA was talking about this on youtube. Personally, I think it would have been a bit better if they had a little more freedom but what can you do? =(

And yeah, Lightning in FFXIII sounds way better than Duodecim. Agreed.

I don't think that applies with someone like Gabranth, their voices sound completely unique between ENG and JP (prefer the british accent one anyway over the super deep JP version)

Of course, I can see it with some other chars like Prishe

Kain is a badass though, put it on advanced difficulty and he's cheap as hell spamming dragon fang.

Got it at 6 PM. Amazon seems only good if you want it cheap, not fast.

Tifa seems good though! Her starting aerials are weak though. Feints seem too good.
