I would think that Ward Warden increases the martello levels, but I am not 100% sure.

I think some people aren't paying attention when they do Bastion <_<

When mobs destroy the Pulse Martello, the mobs take a martello core with them, causing the level of that core to decrease. When a mob is defeated in bastion, there is a chance it will be carrying a stolen core. If it is, the Bastion NPC will state that the core has been recovered and will be put in place immediately, which causes the level of that core to increase. As far as I can tell, which cores are taken and recovered is completely random, although I would guess that cores at level 0 will not be taken.

Ward Warden strengthens the Clone Wards that protect the Pulse Martello. Likewise, Desert Rain strengthens Bastion NPCs, and Crimson Carpet strengthens traps.

Yeah, you need to kill enough stuff in bastion to recover more cores than you are losing. Given that almost everyone doing bastion is retarded it can be tough. Sleepga incoming waves as far away from the pulse martello as possible and then gravity them and nuke them down. You can usually get a few kills in before the unsleepable stuff kills the martello. The farther away you sleepga stuff the more time you have to get kills.

Ya got me there brother. Honestly the general populas is going to have to fight these battles differently, or SE is going to have to adjust the battles.
As it stands, lack of general cooperation on individuals part leads to the martellos being destroyed 9/10 times. The current hate mechanics are difficult for the avg. (Most players who don't read about things before doing them) player to figure out what role they should be playing to best benefit their server. Same thing happened with fiaut lux.

AF3 shoes are just way too rare, plain and simple. It's going to be a huge cockblock for completing sets. Their rarity is really kind of odd given the relative simplicity of obtaining the base hat and pants.

If there's a NPC that says it I'm unaware, but the martello cores and their descriptions are key items 1470-1476.

Additonally, this line from the update notes:

That sounds more like TH rather than gold chests. Plus gold chests are gay, accord to SE some bullshit gear is considered POWERFUL AUGMENTS.

using the word "treasure", implying that the bonus is selectively granted to higher-quality items, and the previous core being a bonus to pyxis quantity sounds a lot like a bonus to gold chests to me.

Stop asking every question for every factoid possible, go SEE and DO for yourself. The Bastion NPC explains it all very detailed. He gives you info on cores and effects.
