I'm not saying he's right, but that can still fit into what Hanyoko is saying. For example, if Kutharei's repop timer is 21hrs, then it may not have been available to pop during the 5hrs you were killing the giant. However, having that long of a repop timer doesn't fit in with anything else we have seen so far in abyssea.

That's what I've been leaning towards recently myself. Definitely has a longer cooldown, and can only pop if the cooldown has passed and the giant is defeated. So now, to narrow the cooldown. Thorny has it at 5 hours so far. Time to test beyond this.

Guess we can try to narrow it down to something like 4-8 after last death/depop, and the giant must die?

Seems right/possible. Wouldnt make sense to put a 21 hr repop on an abyssea mob, and lower tier Nms are like 90 minute repops.

If what this guy said is true that Yaanei pop only during Earthsday daytime , then can safely assume it's 8 hrs after last death , with giant dead & day criteria must be met for it to pop ? idk

Earthday doesn't hold up since I know from from figuring out !! proc we had ours pop on darksday. We have had similar problems with popping the Caturae in each zone. Aside from the one time we had Yaanei pop directly after a robot kill, we apparantly had Kutharei pop after a robot kill, but it depopped a few minutes later. When we attempted to repeat this later no pop. I am guessing there is more the pop condition, but the robot kill seems to be related~

    Went through logs:

    Kutharei
    Robot Killed: Windsday: 1108-03-08 10:24
Confirmed it up: Windsday: 1108-03-08 11:08 (Had to scout it manualli)
Depop: Windsday: 1108-03-08 12:00 (Note: Was 11:00 pm exactly too)

    Yaanei:
    Robot Killed: Darksday: 1108-02-10 11:12
Confirmed it up: Darksday: 1108-02-10 11:32
    Pulled: Darksday: 1108-02-10 15:14

    Sippoy:
    Robot Killed: -------------
Confirmed it up: Watersday: 1107-12-25 05:01 (Was recent pop, scanning every ~2min)
Depop: Watersday: 1107-12-25 09:16 (Another group grabbed it before we could get there and wiped. Depopped right after.)

There is always the chance that SE did something stupid, like the grellow procs, and you have to kill the ironclad with the corresponding day element , etc. But I think that's a stretch. Probably just a cooldown before next pop is possible.

That would be between when Sippoy popped and depopped in my post. Maybe each Cataure has static spawn hours. Which explains why we've seen it depop often when an LS wipes or when it's been up for a bit~

It's called an exaggeration. If you really think adding in some nukes when you have time, or the occasional debuff/buff/shadows if you need to face up is something complex or beyond the realm of even well below average players, I'm not sure what to tell you.

I was under the impression his 100+ included atma, and used an estimate saying pet hits for 200. RDM nuking 50% of the time does 117 damage/second to a pet's 66.. master isn't making that up without pulling hate and dying. If you have multiple bsts to melee, RDMs are casting utsu far less and gaining even more lead.

Easy to change pet's damage upwards if you believe it hits for more than 200 on NMs, but I doubt that.
My 100/hit was bottom line. Keep Krabkatoa dispelled and dia'd, raged nazuna will hit for over 100/swing without a shit's worth of pet gear. That's a really lowball situation.

Also, snarl is ridiculous. There's virtually no such thing as hate issues for bst at this point.

Further, nazuna has double attack (as do several other pets), dipper has triple attack, you're ignoring tp moves, and I'm really not sure if you're right about 4sec delay, but I don't think you are.

Anyway, this isn't really the place for this, I was just pointing out that it's annoying as hell to see people bitch about how pet jobs are so easy when 99% of the strategies people list for lowmanning any abyssea mobs are "solo rdm" or "duo rdm" or "trio rdm." (granted, that's less true with how incredibly easy most scars nm's are now)

I'm also really fucking sick of watching people solo shit in the time they could have killed, waited for respawn, and killed again if they had 2 people in abyssea.

I don't really care about this argument, but typical monster delay is 210 delay (3.5 seconds).

Also, every NM should super-rage at 20 minutes, where they use Primal Brew and Chainspell Meteor on whoever is holding them.

Nobody said anything about difficult, he said you don't know how rdm solos. It isn't an exaggeration, it is just plain wrong. Bio is irrelevant.

If you don't know, why are you arguing? The standard mob delay is 240.

We killed Sippoy and it was up again within 2 hours, although I couldn't give you an exact time it certainly wasn't too long.

Just doing a quick search doesn't seem like there's a great pearl + amber mob. What are people's usual experience at which mobs to go after for feet? In my experience a lot abyssea-att mobs are pretty stingy on this. Is there anything significantly better than murexs? Crawlers seem ok too and less dangerous overall it seems.

Any ephemeral mob, not just murex. But yea, those amoeban's suck with their 2 hr reset. Just send your BLms to kill amoebans with magic, and take 1-2 good DDs to pearl or w/e the murex. Should have capped lights in 5-10 minutes

do 4 murex/amoe for max blue

pop or kill 4 trigger or timed NMs for whites

should cap easily and get time box within 10-15 mins with 4 man

do the same for yellow on murex/amoe/nms after

Honestly, I think there's something more to the ephemeral light system. I've treated them as 5 normal kills for a while, but last night 4 azure kills on them(with double kismet) was only producing 600 cruor/750 exp chests. I had to magic kill an additional ~8 plain mobs to cap out.

So usually you have a group go hunt down Ephemeral mobs while the rest kills an easy mob like murexs?

What's usually the preference for specifically farming feet with a small group just going pearl + amber and max gold chests or is it really worth splitting the chest pops with blue? I guess it boils down to how much time you have and if you want exp but seems like just 2hrs of gold chests should give you a decent shot at some feet.

Does the strength of the light get spread over the number of people in the alliance? Like, if you get a strong amber light in a red box during exp it turns into "feeble light" message for everyone else when opened. So maybe ephmeral give more light but the eventual strength depends on who all gets it?

So far we've gone 0/5 on Tunga's Key item drop and it's getting to me, especially because of our relatively small group taking 30+ min to kill it with DoT's and bloodpacts. Since it sometimes goes into a chaincast mode where it spams annoying earthbased -ga spells, straight tanking it seems like it's going to be rough. Has anyone had success with anything other than a ktied fight? My thought was a strong earth resist tank. Since we don't really have someone with such a set I wonder if anyone's tried a resist set and how much is enough.

Last night we magic killed a murex and proceeded to -ga down chigoes and all of them produced top tier boxes(1250 xp, 1k cuor and time).
