Does that only apply to solo kills or party kills as well? Basically I wanna know what's the quickest way to cap lights in a lower-man setup like 8~12.

Just wondering if anyone has enough experience w/ Lusca to say if it's possible to lowman manaburn or RDM/NIN him, if so, strategies etc. I see the magic shield being a problem but i read in reference to the Hpmede one spamming dia to give it tp to switch being a solution.
it is base on ur abyssites
i only got 1 blue abyssite from the new NPCs, i didnt finish the lathiene one even tho i got the quest (lol lazy)
my friend got 2 blue abyssites and always get capped blues after 2 murex, i need 3altho 2 gives me occasional max blue boxes but its usually 1 tier away (800 cruor 1000 xp etc)
So we kill 4 always just incase for everyone in pt ^^
and also just FYI. after a maint, 4 murex wont cap your lightswhich makes me believe the con of the murex/amoe decides how strong the lights are
if you ever notice, amoe is always left untouched and they always dont cap ur lights easily. but if your server have IT amoes, then it works the same as murex
Awesome, that's what I figured it was.
Can Ulhuadshi drop multiples of Coin of Vision or Jewel of Vision? Wiki has up to 4x possible for both which seems unlikely given the drop pattern of other Tier 2s.
Drops multiple coins, uses same pattern as any other trinket-dropping mob.
Fairly certain healing it does not give it TP. You have to blood tank it or melee it. That being said, if you can Joyeuse it, then meh. It's a joke of a fight anyway, so yea...1 DD, 2rdm/nin, 1 brd, 1 blm (and someone with nin tools) should have a pretty easy time. Don't need all 5 even, but not bringing people to proc grellow !! seems pretty dumb to me...speaking of, fuck BLU.
Random Shit I've Noticed Vol. CXVIII:
Did a ton about 20 runs of Flown the Coop yesterday. I started by running out to the Spoor near Coeurls, Erucas and Murex for the first 5 runs.
In those 5 runs, I got:
(2) MNK seals.
(1) PLD seal.
Then I realized there was a closer Chocobo Spoor, and started using that one. In 12-14 runs, I got only one BLU seal.
Feeling sentimental for the other Spoor, I switched back, and ended up getting:
(3) MNK
(1) BRD
...in 5 runs - to finish off my MNK Head +1. Note, all these attempts were done on MNK, and once I obtained a seal I stopped questing until the next game day.
Small sample size though, so it could just be random bullshit.
Failure is obv right that you should bring jobs to try and proc Grellow on Lusca but if you just want the 100% or w.e you could do it rdm/nin and either sam/nin or mnk/nin np
Wow Arthars, Your info was awesome. Thanks for the help.
We trio stuff all the time and 2 out of 3 of us are always low on time and it has really held us back. Last night we followed your info and we were in Abys for 3 hours or more on one stone! haha Thank you SO much. Got 4 time chests in a row at one point!
Going to try for Gold chests next time.
To clarify, this only works on the Emphermal Murex mobs - not regular, right?
Everytime I find one, it's almost always DC... How many lights is a DC worth?
Flown the Coop is about as ass as it comes, i'm nearing 100 repeats, with 3x BLU (But 14x MNK, 3x PLD, 3x BRD)... Guess which 3 jobs I don't have leveled?
Also, once went 26 repeats in a row without a single seal. Need to kneecap whoever designed this.
i had a theory that the potency of each light you get from a mob scales with the xp it gives you. a "good" light murex gives ~1k, a dud will give 150-400. NM's give 1k+ xp and i'm sure give more than one light. mobs like the avatars roaming the zone give increased XP and that could be one of their uses since dumb shit like akash is running around. what is it for!? faster lights maybe?
gonna test capping lights on the avatars once i get some stones...
Could I solo the cock NM on smn?
