I can confirm it being rank 1, but not much else. I farmed the Amoebas for like 30-45 minutes with no drops and gave up.

not very sure how to work that into my map cos the map itself is ridiculously tiny but ill try. would be good if you could trace the Tor side with the miasma blocks as well.

In regards to 'Looking for Lookouts', can anyone confirm that they have gotten a seal WHILE still having the feather in their inventory? I have not yet, which makes me wonder if I have to drop it each time in hopes of getting seals. It's been 4 hours...

EDIT: Yeah I can confirm this. I was just getting curor before. GDI I just wasted 4 hours...

Sorry if this info has been posted already.

I have done Looking for Lookouts 60 times today climbing the mountain. The fastest way to climb the mountain is to climb from Conflux#7 to Conflux #5. I was able to complete the quest on that route in 4~5 Mins, while the route from #5 to #7 took me aprox 6-7 mins every time. The other benefit (at least for me) was #7 to #5 had a lot less annoying pathways to walk through.

The 60 times I have done the quest I have gotten 3 WAR, 7 SMN, 6 SCH, and 4 DNC, which is unfortunate for me because I only want warrior from the quest.

I can also confirm that you can get the seals while you have the feather in your inventory. I went 10 times without getting a seal and thought the quest was broken. Its just luck.

Just did An Acrididean Anodyne 25 times, and the best augment so far is this:


Seems like they opened the crappiest augments possible to prevent it from being tab augmented or sold. Hope to be proven wrong.

If my thinking is correct, this, along with NIN COR and DRG, will come from Garnev's quest An Offer You Can't Refuse, although I personally haven't been able to do the quest myself yet.

Beats my Thunder Ring by a very comfortable margin. I can't think of a better Sneak Attack ring for the non-Rajas finger, either.

1/6 over the course of 2 days, I just do it whenever I'm super bored (Looking for Lookouts)

Do we have any idea what NM(s) drop the Monk head seals yet? Don't see it listed on wiki and don't think it's been mentioned in the thread. Need to know this so I can keep an eye out for specific shouts.

Edit: K It seems Amun drops the Monk head seals? It wasn't edited onto the main abyssea chasm list so I did that.. But theres still no info on Amun. Anyone know if its a timed or item pop? If its deadly or not etc.

Edit: Dur okay theres one testimonial saying its nasty.

For the people that fought the popped tree, can you give a synopsis on the fight please? And what would be the smallest group you could do it? looking at the screenshots, looks like 12 heads was possible overkill?

Anyone that's succeeded in killing the gnat NM, do you know if it cycles through it's auras? or if it's pretty random? or are all three auras up at all times? It looks like it could be evasion-tanked, but if you cant' get shadows up cause of a silence aura, you're hosed...

We killed Mieliwhatever tree nm with 5 fairly easily. Our party set up was thf rdm rdm smn whm. Its a rdm/sch tree nm with regular tp moves, and sch weather spells. Its immune to stun and casts earth based spells. StonegaIV hit for up to 600-700 through stoneskin. Easy to tank with Sabo slow/para2. its Arbor gale/gust/something tp move was a wide range (30'?) aoe that gave a potent grav effect. After 6 or so kills we ended up with 1 smn, 2-3 pup, and 2-3 dnc seals. Also 2 Bloom bucklers. No abyssite/atma drop.

Anyone find the fifth lookout?

I have found:

The Galka at the base, near Conflux 5.
The Elvaan above the Galka, in front of a Miasma.
The Hume female at the base near Conflux 7.
The taru running on the cliff above the hume female.

The last is eluding me. Any help appreciated!

hmm seems like NA side has been avoiding the undead NMs a lot..

still dunno about drops from Spuk's NM, Flesh NM and skeleton NM.

Gaizkin (NM) apparently has drops from BRD and DRG.. but no idea which that one is..

Theres 2 i've seen listed.. both on my chart now.. Amun is a timed pop, cos I saw him up naturally when I was exploring the zone
