and I thought farming the damn quest item before was bad, if drg really drops from that chest quest then i'm boned

Where are the spiders that drop the item for the Yurim quest? I did it once and no seal, but want to do some more but don't want to have to take a full group to kill spiders. I do have BST so might see how hard the mobs are to solo.

The new Coral mobs drop it, not spiders.

You can try to exp on the corals I guess.... but they are all wind/thunder based and love ga3s and shit. The native abyssea mobs probably give all the lights, pretty sure I got ruby/pearl.

They're a joke RDM/SCH for what it's worth. Easily silenced and gravity'd (even the wind ones I fought). They have MP so coupled with the Heavens atma and Refresh II you can pretty much chain them as fast as you can kill them.

Very true. They resist elemental magic some, but mine isn't capped yet since I hit 85. Blizzard/Stone worked well. Was getting ~25% drop rate on the items needed for the quest. I was able to duo them as BLM/RDM and RDM easily, just time consuming.

I think it was mentioned that + versions of galka sausage give more cruor but are we sure it doesn't increase the likelihood of seals? Out of 9 +1s for example, I only received 2 seals.

You must unlock a blue box of a certain strength (lowest tier exp chest did not work) manually. i.e.; you cannot key it and you must have some blue lights built up. Apparently free-spawning chests do not work.
