Abyssea - Misareaux Discussion

Anyone got any advice for fighting Nehebkau. Normally do abyssea with a lowman DD + support or kite setup, tried him on Tuesday with the DD one and we killed him but had issues with how evasive he was(had a BRD for songs) which led to some hate issues later on. I threw in some RDM nukes since they were effective but then it became an issue of hate since I'd steal it once he got to lower health. Just looking for some advice for quick repeats for seal farming that doesn't involve using 2hrs everytime we try him.

I don't know, perhaps they were stunning during TP moves or casting? I know that we procced !! on Hadal Satiator at low HP by having people WS after my Stun.

I've seen nothing to conclusive one way or the other, so when it comes to procing !! I'm just gonna play it safe and stray away from stunning. Friend was trying to test for that sort of thing, so while it's possible between lag and log discrepancy between when the stun wore off and when the ws landed and didn't proc !! could have been wrong, it doesn't seem worth chancing~

You can just buy Stalwart's Drink from the Cruor NPC in 30 seconds between fights to keep accuracy up for most/all of the Nehebkau fight.

As a monk, I have little problem duoing him using Gnarled Horn, Razed Ruins and sushi. That should be enough to cap accuracy for counter on him; if you need more, just go mad/march instead of march/march.

Not sure how feasible it is to low-man him with any other DD job. It's so easy on monk I haven't tried with anything else.

yes that is a melee whm lol, he can still hit us with melee attacks, all it does is allow us to avoid storm wind and vermillion wind.

Mule sat there, and got raped by him today... good thing tho, cuz we got claim and I have my shiny new Boomerang =P sadly, no idea what triggered it... was trying to kill the Jala's (Leviathan) and that didn't seem to do much. Good luck to any others, as I know I won't be burning more stones on this for the time being

What did the SGM say, because that is bullshit. Using height difference is a common tactic that has been used in the game for many years, I mean fuck you would think they put the ??? near a cliff for this specific reason.

I find it hard to believe that they intended you to negate half of what he does just by putting him in the right place. That said, I'm glad we finished our Amuks.

More so to make it easier on the mages probably, but it's still stupid as fuck to not allow something like this when they more or less OKed any terrain abuse that doesn't nearly completely stop a monster from damaging you without movement. (Iron giants and cliffs, WOJ, etc.) As said in that one POL message anyways.

In all Technically, on "Normal" height-difference fights, theres always at least 1 person taking all the shit the NM is tossing out.

In this instance, as with Ironclad, You're completely blocking 1 of his forms of Attacks.

For Ironclad none of his Physical hits touched you, for Amhuluk none of his TP moves.

Either way, Its Square, If they wanna ban you they will, so its best not to risk it and don't be a hero to "FIGHT THE MAN" and fight it that way. its not like its a fucking hard NM anyway.

Truthfully i'm just extra cautious when it comes to my Account Can't just have mommy buy me a new one or easily replace the memories i have of Karb, So I'm biased toward "playing it safe". That and nothing in this game is hard enough to risk banning yourself over.

Nitpicking, but that blocks everything but one or two very weak TP moves from ironclad. My only issue with it is that they allow far more "abusive" terrain exploits compared to this fight. Mainly being pinning.

Not claiming its not absolutely retarded rule.

but at the same time, the NM is plenty easy enough to fight it the normal way, and if they say "Stop or get bant" its just not worth the risk ;(

I think it's worth disputing with an SGM, but obviously do as told if a GM directly tells you to.

well, according to the person leading our run, he told the GM to watch us fight it again, same way and that we are still getting hit an shit, so like 5 minutes after we got told not to fight it that way, we did, and nothing happened but the JP we were selling sobek skins to and doing other shit in between gukumetz pop timer, he was in our alliance the 2nd time we killed it after we were told not to fight it from the cliff, and in very broken english he said something about JPGM sending him a tell not to fight the NM that way, so.... was very interesting.

ITT: Manning up and just killing amuhuluk is super duper hard (From the above SS you could of done it while taking all the hits/casts/tp shots with 2 people)

It's not about being able to kill him normally, just seems odd a GM would say that but they are retarded like that sometimes. JOL and various other NM's have been fought like this for so long. Dunno why the GM would say that lol.
