So the AF3 set effects seem to be grouping up a bit; based on patterns, I would wager the final out come will look something like this:
Occasionally deals double damage:
WAR: Double Attack
THF: Triple Attack
SAM: Zanshin
DNC: Samba
RNG: Rapid Shot (I haven't seen definitive evidence, but I would bet that's what it does, though I don't know/remember if Rapid Shot is always insta-shot, or if it's like conserve MP, where it's chops off a random % of attack delay; I'm not a rng)
Occasionally increases damage by a percentage:
BLM: Conserve MP (% conserved x2)
SMN: Blood Boon (Probably % conserved x2, like blm)
DRK: x HP%
BST: x Pet's HP%
DRG: x Wyvern's HP%
PUP: x Puppet's HP%
Occasionally Attacks Again:
MNK: Kick Attacks (Extra Kick)
NIN: Dual Wield (probably like a kick attack; Adds an extra hit to an attack round, separate from double/triple attacks)
Occasionally Absorbs Damage:
PLD: Damage Taken
WHM: Barelemental Spells
Occasionally Augments [Job Ability] in some way
RDM: Composure (Buff duration on others)
COR: Quickdraw (I have no idea whether this has been found or not, but if it has, I missed it, but if it hasn't, the pattern would suggest that it occasionally deals double damage)
SCH: Light Arts/Dark Arts (My money says it's either increased spell duration, or occasional double damage for dark arts, and occasional double cure potency for light arts)
Occasionally augments [Entire spell list] in some way
BRD
BLU
I was under the impression Enhance Kick Attacks was a chance for higher damage on a Kick Attack, same as Catagory /w WAR/THF/SAM?
Page 39ish says COR set augment is increase elemental damage 10% for a short duration after a shot is used.
Also COR and RDM wouldn't be an occasionally xx augment.
Anyone with DRK AF3+2 tried testing their attacks at varrying HP levels to see if HP determines damage dealt or proc rate?
well, two things; 1) It's theorycraft for now, just basing what it might do off of other set effects, and 2) it shouldn't be just another trait, because every such DW trait enhancement has been given via "enhances "dual wield" effect", while the set effect is "augments "dual wield" effect"
After seeing other set augments, -daley on set bonus for NIN would be VERY suprising.
I am 99% sure its low proc rate on double dmg/add hit
I guess it would be surprising but what you said, while entirely probable and possible, seems to correlate in no way with the actual function of the JA
