Is the proc % for full set really 25% according to wiki?

No, its completely random. There is sometimes where I'll go for what seems like forever without a proc and then get 3 in the matter of 30 seconds (welcome to FFXI). Just eyeball testing after doing 6 yacumama I would say that the generally accepted 6-10% proc rate is pretty accurate. Its still pretty nuts though, tanking that mob pld/war and never having to heal yourself because it keeps healing you back to full HP.

It only seems high because if you think about it, 6-8% proc rate is 1 proc every 15 attacks.

Anyone got any numbers yet on the 'Increases magic critical hit damage' on Goetia Gloves +2? Wondering if it might actually be worth using wise strap if it's a big enough increase.

Someone tested it to be 5% on the +1 hands, so I think everyone is assuming it's 8% on the +2 version.

Finally I got my ninja feet and I'm wondering what's the best way to +2 them, the vnm path looks like more of a hassle than bukhis himself, any secrets to turning abyssites faster ? I've easily killed 15/20 vnms and I'm still on clear, any way thanks for the input.

Kill the VNMs faster. That's the only way you're going to upgrade any faster.

VNM is faster. Waaaaaaaaaaaay faster. T1 might take some time, but learning where T2 pops and camping it every 10-12 minutes speeds up the process tremendously

Yes. I average approximately 1/10 on T1 VNMs and about 1/5 to 1/3 on T2 VNMs.

PS. Kirschy, if +1 hands are 5% why would you expect +2s to be 8%? I'd have guessed 10.

Was extra 3 MAB on crits with +1, I still don't have +2 but I would guess its either the same or ~5-6.

Sorry my bad, I confused myself. It was 3MAB on the +1 hands and 3% mg crit rate. The +2 have Mg Crit Rate at 5%, so some people were guessing the crit mab raised to 5 too.

Basically saying that the Enhances 'Afflatus Solace' effect on Orison Bliaud +2 also gives 10 MDB for barspells as well as the enhanced cureskin thing. While it gives nothing extra (Solace already gave 5 MDB for barspells), means you don't need to carry Blessed Briault around anymore and maybe get a higher proc rate out of the set bonus.

Definitely neat info, but I have to imagine AF3+2 body was already preferable to Blessed. Eyeball-math etc., but it seems as if the occasional proc increase from AF3 would outweigh a constant 10 MDB.

The game knows... always 1/1 on abyssite upgrades I don't want, and 1/50+ when I'm trying to get one for a buyer.

So true. We had 3 colorfuls to farm Chione for seals. We went 3/3 on upgrades. Luckily, it took 2-3 pops to convert another colorful.

I was soloing some T2 VNM the other to get my abyssite for T3 went 0/10 then I got pissed and logged off. I don't know what the deal with this is.
