I talked to Cole a few months about joining this shell and at first I was kinda hesitant because switching serves, new people, it was a new ls, etc.

And I would be bringing a couple people with me and they most likely wouldn't be in the shell since the playtimes for the shell were at midnight EST.

Well, the playtimes were perfect for me and I liked the people I talked to on vent -- I took the plunge and headed over.

It has been on the nicest shells I've been in and very effective. There's been some snags with some people here and there but if they couldn't put out what we needed we just let them go. Hasn't been hardly any major drama either.

So if there was anyone thinking about joining DERP, I really recommend getting on vent and chatting for a bit-- ask any questions you might have. Shit's nice.

Granted I have a couple of "favorite friends" now that we do a LOT of low man stuff with but I think that happens in almost every shell. ^^;

I was in there for a short time and would have probably stayed if the events fit my playtime better - a lot of the folks in there were friendly and fit me well in terms of personality and humor. Colenzo and the others are very laid back, but they're serious business when it comes to event time and getting shit done.

Unfortunately, I can't stay up till 12 midnight, lol. If they were a 7pm EST shell, this would have been my permanent home on Carbuncle.

I highly recommend DERP if you can fit their playtimes, skilled/knowledgeable players, and the loot seems to be spread pretty evenly.

Our schedule may be changing a little bit on the next update to make room for all 3 abyssea areas in our schedule.

Next week we are going to start powering through the rest of the abyssea clears for people. Then we will start doing Shinryuu. Bump!

Got most everybody on shell their Shinryu clears and have been getting gear out the yingyang from him. Still looking for quality players who aren't douche bags. We could really use dedicated bards.

I'd like to say a few things.

I came over to this server after a bit of convincing by Cole. And I am really glad that I did. The shell, for a while was awesome. Decent at getting things done-- Not Thorny's LS but relatively good for being somewhat new. The event times (midnight EST) were perfect for my lifestyle. I have a lot of friends and I get shit done with the people that I help and they help me.

After a while it got kinda clique-ish between me and a few people in the shell. And some of the people in the shell started resenting that, I guess. (Read as: Probably jealous. We were to the point where we selling items a lot and doing harder things very low manned.) Ok, ok. We did have egos, I admit it.

I went on a week and a half break recently to come back to 2 straight days of working. Today was literally my first day back in almost two weeks. Me and 4 other people (possibly more, I don't know) were kicked.

I'm not going to go on some tirade about this LS being terrible, but if you decide to join this LS then a heads up:

Colenzo, the leader is a decent guy -- But terrible at confrontations. Anything bad happens he will ignore it or push it onto another officer. Or just kick the person to remove the problem.
Highlighter, while good at BLM is terrible at WHM -- Also, he is AFK 75% of the time. No BLM is actually better than an AFK-mostly BLM as then you don't have to worry about screaming on vent for him to get back, spending MP to raise because he idled in a bad spot, or worrying about him being out of range for whatever it is you are killing.

Heian is simply amazing, we bow down his awesomeness.
Jilliana is a great player as well. He twoboxes a WHM/WAR so well that it's really two people playing. He helps out like nothing~

Those are the leaders. The rest of the shell is a mix and match of people that range from very poorly skilled to really skilled players. After those people I am not naming names, there's no point. :3

The way it happened was Jillbilli was live streaming on his character which he sometimes does and I guess one of the kicked was watching when Jilli got a tell from Cole saying "can I just kick them all" Jill: Who? Cole: Me (and the other 4 people)

Then I came back from being afk all day and was out of a LS and got caught up on everything.
