You typed 5830 but that links to a 5850, which is still a good choice.
And you only have 2GB ram, and it's DDR2.... you should get this 4GB DDR3 kit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231193

Get 64bit windows 7, 64bit is pretty much standard nowadays and 32bit limits the amount of usable ram, everything else looks fine.
That cpu cooler you picked out is older and probably not the best. I'd recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065
Looks good to me.
As far as your ram, 1600mhz is fine. You actually need a 1600mhz kit like that to give you overhead when you inevitably overclock your cpu.
Wireless, dunno, I would just find a cheap linksys card or usb dongle, maybe someone else can give better info on this.
Oh also, you can probably get some stuff cheaper if you're not making heavy use of newegg combo deals. Check http://slickdeals.net/ and see if you can find some stuff more cheaply. Use the search in top right on their main page.
Not making heavy use of the combo deals, going to go through and double check now just to be safe.lol Checked out slickdeals and didn't find anything that would save me over $5.lol
Going to stick with the G.skills RAM since I've been given the go-ahead~ I'll figure something out with the wireless adapter.
Find somebody that will hook you up with a copy of Windows 7 then google Remove WAT.
Would rather avoid doing that on this build. I'll most likely do that when I build another PC.
Thanks for the info though!
While I'm at it. I decided to go ahead and get some 6GB 1600 RAM, any reccomendations? If you could, please try to keep them at or below $150.
A friend of mine reccomends Mushkin and OCZ, but I want some other opinions before I settle on something.
[Edit] - Found the QVL for my mobo, checked Neweeg for the compatible 6GB 1600 RAM and I only found 2.
Mushkin

OCZ

What would you all reccomend?
4 or 8 gigs since it's amd, phenom II have dual channel memory controller. What are you going to be doing that needs more than 4 gigs of ram?
I usually prefer g.skill, but I use this corsair stuff on my current machine(amd):

I had intended to use this PC for XIV, videos, music, and music recording. I'm a major muti-tasker as well. Suppose I should have taken the CPU compatibility into mind.
Checked the Corsair on the QVL and it's not on there. (QVL = Qualified Vendor List). I apologize if you knew this already.
The G.Skill Kylewhataru linked to aren't compatible either. Hmm. I'll go through Neweeg and see what I can find 4GB dual channel.
[Edit] - Below are the ones I found on the list for 4GB 1600.
G.Skill ECO
G.Skill ECO
G.Skill Ripjaws
OCZ AMD Black Edition
OCZ Platinum
Kingston HyperX
Kingston HyperX
Kingston HyperX
Corsair XMS3
Which is the best to go with?
your QVL is more of a 'you pay me money and ill let my less astute customers know to buy from you' list, jfyi
You can ignore that QVL stuff, it just means they've tested that ram with the board(or gotten paid to list it hehe). You would have to get extremely unlucky to actually pick ram that didn't work. That corsair ram has i5-i7 logos plastered all over it, but it was much cheaper than their amd kits for the same timings and it works flawlessly for me.
Take a look at this article: click. It's from 2009, but still relevant. I suspect you would be fine with 2x2gb.
Well, I'm sorry for all the QVL refference then. I feel silly now.
[Edit] -
Between the two which is best.
Kylewhataru's suggestions - G.Skill
or
the Corsair Shaddix is using
If the difference is minimal I'll go with the G.skill to save some money since I decided to go with a full case. (Antec Twelve Hundred)
Not like $30 is going to make a big difference at this point, may as well go for the Corsair.
Thanks for the feedback~
only $6 difference! get the rebate!
I am still waiting on mine that i sent in early august
