The staff of FFXIVArchives.com are exceptionally pleased to announce the launch of our database today--we think you'll enjoy it enough that it actually deserves a thread on BG rather than being relegated to dead threads or random questions.

Features you can look forward to if you stop by include a fully searchable and commentable item database. We have everything archived that's currently available in the game. Every shop in the game has been fully integrated (so you'll know where to buy anything you can buy). We're also working on building our crafting recipes up, and we have a feature that will allow you to add any recipes we don't have. We also have a full database of the game's abilities, including those which are not yet available--it's very interesting to see just what's in store for us as the level cap increases! Don't forget about our database of levequests and maps, either.

Finally, we have a full archive of mobs and NPCs, and we're developing a small downloadable tool that will analyze your logs and allow you to submit your drop rates for completely accurate drop data.

And if that wasn't enough, our syndicated tooltips will surely interest you--a snippet of javascript on any site will allow popup mouseover tooltips on any in-game item or ability (levequests and recipes coming soon).

Only things I can think of are more filters (like for guildleve locations as suggested) and ofc showing NPC locations (and mob locations) on maps to help find them more easily.

I'm pretty sure NPC/mob locations are on the to-do list. We couldn't get quite everything ready before launch, but we hope our visitors will stick with us as the site grows.

From the start, the site has, at least in my own mine, had a vision of WoWhead in mind (for anyone who plays WoW, you'll know). This has been a labor of love, my wife has been disappeared in this for months x.x

Why is there 'attack power' etc listed on the Thaumaturge Arms. The only things listed in-game are Mag Potency, Magic Acc and Crit rate.

Likely because whats shown in-game isn't necessarily all that exists on the item.

Oh god thank you for this, i was using yellow gremlin but you have a better design, layout, and list stats. Just selling to NPC prices and you'd be golden.

EDIT: recipes are missing, also need to add "item used in recipe(s):" for items.

Looks good. Still using YG for the time being though since its syndication works for bbcode. If this was updated at thie above site, might consider making the switch on one or both of my forums since the boxes are more accurate and all that.
