How much did you fill the bag?
How much did you fill the bag?

you want it to be squeaking
Positions for the Bastion enemy invasion traps in Mis Coast
Theres 3 "verges" which I guess, are the outermost points invading enemies spawn at?
eastern, NW, and SW verges
J/I-7 rear trap invasion route
I-6 rear trap in river, invasion route
H-8 rear trap middle of hall invasion route
K-8 fore trap verge
G-4 northmost niche fore trap verge
K-10 in east niche verge
Time per percent increase towards event when I was in Misareaux averaged 1.33.. minutes per percent, that might be subject to change as things pick up though.
i had done this quest three times, the second time i did, i put in a round object after the first "signs of strain" message and my bag busted. Maybe the round objects have more "weight" than the other two? or a random chance of breakage after that message pops up? I'll have to do more and test it out.
Wasnt there a similar issue when campaign first came out that people had problems with their computers freezing up?
should i try asking in tech help?
I really love the idea of bastion, Significantly more than campaign. But this is killing me.
Bastion lasts like 2 minutes max in my experience. So yeah. If it lets you cast outside it, maybe you've got invincible WHM curebots.
For 2 minutes.
To be fair... I haven't had time to mess with it yet between work and farming Kindred Crests lol
Did a few more tonight, this time in a small party and now there are several people doing it also so wanted to see how it'd be. Not sure if a successful trap activated it, but the best battle I had so far at Vunkerl Inlet the enemies came 1-2 at a time with the Chariot boss coming last, rather than in a zerg rush that usually ends in someone getting through and raping the Martello to end the battle early. Majority of the defeats were cause of this so hopefully it's a repeatable quest that helps proc this if its indeed a trap(assume it is). Not sure whether it's the Fore trap or rear trap that caused this but I suppose it's worth looking into. I have no idea how many times you need to try and upgrade the traps to raise their status from paltry, tried the Fore trap once before a battle again and no visible change. Also I haven't noticed any skillups whatsoever while having the Pennant status. Spend every fight spamming Blue Magic spells and I didn't see any skillups for that, even on stuff like the Chariot or Acrolith mobs which are higher level and tougher compared to the rest.
Heard a few complaints after the battle since if you die you get no xp that you accumulated on the mob if you don't get up before it dies, since a few people died on the Chariot boss. But I suppose that's the trade off, in campaign you can get up and any work you did is accounted for but if you DC you're screwed. Here everything is up front but if you are dead when the mobs dead doesn't give you squat either. Doubt they'll change this but pretty much make sure you always have RR on when you go in there.
Probably won't be trying this again for a bit, lost a few stones already since this isn't giving any time extensions. A little early to probably make this claim but unless they nerf the xp(which I doubt), seems to be a nice alternative to Abyssea parties if you don't have lots of time to commit a certain day but want xp. If you do have the time, better off doing a party and preserving stones and also grabbing some items.
When you enter, you have a conflux 00 unlocked already and can warp straight there to do Bastion. It's handy in Vunkerl as it takes you a long way south.
Did the Warden I campaign op. Avoid the vampyr on the way :D...
We did a couple of waves last night. XP is ridiculously high per mob. We were getting around 2.7k. However after about three waves we wasted a lot of time trying to wait on more fights. Once people start doing the campaign ops/fighting in the area hopefully it will pick up.
At the moment its the sort of thing you do when it happens to go off in the area. I.e. when running around the zones killing NMs. I assume as players do more in the zone, it will happen more often.
Funny thing is, in my experience, round objects are the least weighted. I can often stuff in a handful of them before I get a tier change.
The bag size does seem to be variable though (or the objects are). I've gotten the same end message with 2/2/2 and 2/2/6.
I have a sneaking suspicion it's based on the clamming mechanics.
Also, I haven't dared try them yet, but the II versions off the non-trap ops, if they work the way I think they will, are gonna be some bullshit.
Oh no, the teir II grab supply is even worse bullshit. You gotta lead a chocobo to the big supply crate next to the small one for that, and stuff it with as many supplies as you can, before coming back. Simple, right? bullshit.
The chocobo will freak out if it gets near any monster, and with the bottlenecks in places like abyssea-miserabledux you have to rely on sheer luck and lots of chocobo items to get it to the end and back. Oh, and it's stamina (health) falls by 1% every 10 seconds or so. You can restore 1% with a gyshal green, or 4%ish with a tajana grass or w/e it's called. You can also restore a little bit of stamina, another few % with a stamina apple, or thankfully, make it half blind to monsters with a chocobo blinker (though if they run into a mob they'll still freak out and flee, losing stamina more quickly and setting you way back), and you can even buy them all for 50-300 cruor each from the chocobo person. But you will NEED them. oh, you can only use two effects at a time. one food effect like tajana grass, and one booster item like choco blinker or stamina apple. Trying to use another will get a "the chocobo is full" message for first, and an error saying the previous item is still in effect for the latter. both dissapear after a little while, maybe 2 minutes? The full message wont tell you when it wears, but the latter items such as blinker will let you know when it wears off.
Managed to turn in 25 supplies on last try using up 4k cruor to get choco back (bring it next to choco person and talk to the person to end mission) , and all I got was a paltry 200 cruor and 50 resistance points. :s
finally won my first battle. didn't get any items or treasure, which is a disappointment, but at least the xp is fantastic. has anyone gotten items for winning? I swore it was mentioned here.
edit: any clue what the last few items the bastion npc offers are used for? one is a "magus stone pouch".
edit2: 2nd fight had an armored chariot model boss, had real def/hp this time. melee swings were hitting me for 220, my axe swings doing 52. it aoe-spammed and killed every last npc. tough stuff.
So is is possible ls members could all do a Bastion quest at the same time to trigger a Bastion fight and make an event out of it?
So what currently gives the best Resistance Credits?
Pretty much bastion. some mobs give 200, some give 600, some give 400. Ops only go for about 30-100, If that. I nerfed some of my graphics last bastion and managed to stay connected.
