i do too after i do a quest, but it goes right back down to 3% after the inevitable loss. takes a concentrated effort from alot of people to keep that thing pumped up. it's going to have to be adjusted.
sorry for the double post, but i wanted to point out at the moment, bastion does NOT give limit points. I killed a surveyor, log read i got 2462 limit points for it, but after the battle my points had not changed. Damn spaghetti code :/
k, bastion currently = gil hole. Idiots who are doing oat trials that don't know where they come from purchased 5 from me for 300k each. fucking win.
Finished oat trial in about ~2hrs. blu rapes bastion, even if the battle only lasts 30 seconds, can still kill 2 mobs in that time and earn ~500.
Yeah I finished OAT Gkt, rdm and rng +1 pants with all the points I got 1-2 shotting the mobs on BLU. Kinda lame how you gotta sit there and buy 30 souls one by one. Think I did 2 battles in between the purchases lol.
CORRECTION!
I just got my second urgent squeaking Ward Warden. Both gave 1k cruor, but one took outpost from 0-10% the other did 0-2%.
The difference was, the 10% one, I was able to cram TONS of stuff into the bag, like 20+ items. The other one, it went full in five.
Also, because I couldn't rely on anybody to synchronize with, I was keeping an eye on the outpost % before doing my turn in, trying to double up on someone else. Unless someone did a turn in that brought defenses between 0 and 1%, it appears that an attack CAN occur with the outpost at 0.
Wow, I don't think I've seen a successful battle yet. The mobs come full force, (Benny Hill music and all) rape your shit, and leave.
A little tip for SCH and /SCH: targeting an NPC with an Accessioned spell will hit EVERYONE in range, NPC and PC alike.
Having a lot more sucess once i put it in my head that half of the players are freaking idiots. The NPCs aren't much better.
Things usually go like this - people wait by the martello. As soon as AoE spamming mobs come over people target and engage. Aoe Spam. Martello gets killed on AoE Spam.
But the thing is: Everything but chariots and triple gears can be slept. So what i have been doing is i wait for the mobs on the path they will take. Once the train is close by, i sleepga II and run over to the martello. The triple gears and chariots run after me. Then i bait and switch. I drag the gears close enough for the npcs to start casting, and drag them a bit far off. NPCs and players follow alike and actually fight the things away from the martello. The lower enmity from sleeps means that once anything hits a gear, it takes off me.
Been working like a charm. When there aren't 17 chariots on a attack.
Has anyone seen a successful battle? I am curious what items we can get from this when we actually win lol (if we even do)
Yeah people are treating Bastion just like Campaign and letting the enemies just run up to the 'fort' which doesn't work. They need to stand a bit in front of the wards, enough so that AoE does not hit the ward seals or martello but NPCs can engage. I mean, Bastion is not super serious biznis but still I'd rather have a decent 8 minute fight for more points than a dozen 30 second hit-and-runs.
Abyssea-Coast has really picked up in battles(Titan). About 20-25 mobs coming at one time from a flank, and usually back to back attacks from multiple flanks constantly. Was taking note of this while spamming the soil quest.
What's the most Abyssea-time efficient way to build 1k resistance credits? Would you spam the Resistance Ops or do Bastion battles?
Battles, without question. Just make sure you do it in a popular zone or it'll end without anything even dying.
I'd just say both depending what's happening. If a battle is happening soon do that, otherwise do Ops. During the one battle I took part in I got 55 credits casting a Sleep 1 for a battle that lasted about 10 seconds.

I saw them. Right after the servers were up and the outpost was at 50% and the NPCs were ranked 2 star.
But that was before chariots started arriving.
The game states it (in SE style though) that you get stronger mobs (and more frequent battles) when you build up martello cores. The trouble is, you almost always seem to get +1-2 cores in a winning battle, so they will ramp up REALLY fast.
