not sure if its true but, the missions from the bastion sapper or whatever, raise the defensive levels of the martello, maybe your server is just skipping on the missions, I see close wards, and are martello up to close to 10% ish

i do too after i do a quest, but it goes right back down to 3% after the inevitable loss. takes a concentrated effort from alot of people to keep that thing pumped up. it's going to have to be adjusted.

Yes it does. I got the last merit and a half I needed for the level cap increase doing Bastion.

Finished oat trial in about ~2hrs. blu rapes bastion, even if the battle only lasts 30 seconds, can still kill 2 mobs in that time and earn ~500.

Yeah I finished OAT Gkt, rdm and rng +1 pants with all the points I got 1-2 shotting the mobs on BLU. Kinda lame how you gotta sit there and buy 30 souls one by one. Think I did 2 battles in between the purchases lol.

    CORRECTION!
I just got my second urgent squeaking Ward Warden. Both gave 1k cruor, but one took outpost from 0-10% the other did 0-2%.
The difference was, the 10% one, I was able to cram TONS of stuff into the bag, like 20+ items. The other one, it went full in five.

Also, because I couldn't rely on anybody to synchronize with, I was keeping an eye on the outpost % before doing my turn in, trying to double up on someone else. Unless someone did a turn in that brought defenses between 0 and 1%, it appears that an attack CAN occur with the outpost at 0.

The times when you didnt earn limit points were you down some quantity of exp points? Seen the game not split exp before.

Wow, I don't think I've seen a successful battle yet. The mobs come full force, (Benny Hill music and all) rape your shit, and leave.

A little tip for SCH and /SCH: targeting an NPC with an Accessioned spell will hit EVERYONE in range, NPC and PC alike.

Having a lot more sucess once i put it in my head that half of the players are freaking idiots. The NPCs aren't much better.

Things usually go like this - people wait by the martello. As soon as AoE spamming mobs come over people target and engage. Aoe Spam. Martello gets killed on AoE Spam.

But the thing is: Everything but chariots and triple gears can be slept. So what i have been doing is i wait for the mobs on the path they will take. Once the train is close by, i sleepga II and run over to the martello. The triple gears and chariots run after me. Then i bait and switch. I drag the gears close enough for the npcs to start casting, and drag them a bit far off. NPCs and players follow alike and actually fight the things away from the martello. The lower enmity from sleeps means that once anything hits a gear, it takes off me.

Been working like a charm. When there aren't 17 chariots on a attack.

Has anyone seen a successful battle? I am curious what items we can get from this when we actually win lol (if we even do)

Yeah people are treating Bastion just like Campaign and letting the enemies just run up to the 'fort' which doesn't work. They need to stand a bit in front of the wards, enough so that AoE does not hit the ward seals or martello but NPCs can engage. I mean, Bastion is not super serious biznis but still I'd rather have a decent 8 minute fight for more points than a dozen 30 second hit-and-runs.

Abyssea-Coast has really picked up in battles(Titan). About 20-25 mobs coming at one time from a flank, and usually back to back attacks from multiple flanks constantly. Was taking note of this while spamming the soil quest.

What's the most Abyssea-time efficient way to build 1k resistance credits? Would you spam the Resistance Ops or do Bastion battles?

Battles, without question. Just make sure you do it in a popular zone or it'll end without anything even dying.

I'd just say both depending what's happening. If a battle is happening soon do that, otherwise do Ops. During the one battle I took part in I got 55 credits casting a Sleep 1 for a battle that lasted about 10 seconds.

Here's a little info from the zone data regarding different levels of stats within Bastion stuff:

    --Pulse Martello special buff levels:
Treasure yield in the area is ≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 0)≻[unimproved/very slightly increased/slightly increased/moderately increased/greatly increased/drastically increased].

    --Invading Bastion Enemy Unit Forces:
    Alert! [A small/A modest/A considerable/A large/An immense] enemy force has appeared
All noncombatants, evacuate to safety immediately!≺Prompt≻

    --Different Battle Status':
The outpost is under attack by the Abyssean hordes!
[We are severely overmatched/The enemy holds an edge in numbers/The enemy is proving to be a handful/We lack the manpower to end it quickly/We have gained the upper hand, but the battle is far from over]! Those fit to wield a blade, report to the outpost with all haste!

    --Different Appraisals of the Battle:
Ah, an enemy has fallen! That leaves ≺Numeric Parameter 0≻ for us to deal with!
≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 1)≻[Show them the true meaning of determination/Let us ride this tide all the way to victory/The moment of truth is nigh/Stay sharp! It's still too early to celebrate/Victory is within our grasp]!≺Prompt≻

--Just a message indicating enemies can either be killed or flee:
The Abyssean hordes have ≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 0)≻[withdrawn/been annihilated]! Victory is ours!≺Prompt≻

    --Bastion Traps:
    Spoiler: show
The fore trap's current energy store is ≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 0)≻[paltry/low/moderate/high/brimming].
We expect that it will weaken the enemy's attack ≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 0)≻[only very slightly/only slightly/moderately/considerably/drastically].

--Different levels of Trap Filling Success:
    ≺Player Name≻ infuses the trap with ≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 0)≻[a paltry/a small/a moderate/a substantial/a hefty] amount of trap fluid.≺Prompt≻

--Stats Indicating Trap Effects on Invaders:
Enemy pop location ≺Numeric Parameter 0≻ debug.
    ≺Selection Dialog≻Return.
Next attack value: ≺Numeric Parameter 1≻
Fore Trap attack reduction: ≺Numeric Parameter 2≻
Fore Trap delay extension: ≺Numeric Parameter 3≻
Rear Trap paralysis duration: ≺Numeric Parameter 4≻
Rear Trap paralysis success rate: ≺Numeric Parameter 5≻≺Prompt≻
Value adjuster (Current: ≺Numeric Parameter 0≻)
    ≺Selection Dialog≻Cancel.
    +1 ~ +1000 , -1 ~ -1000

*So note that fore traps reduce attack while rear traps paralyze*

--Messages for Levels of Ops Success:
    Spoiler: show
Why, it's literally bursting with repair materials! Marvelous!
You ought to be thoroughly commended, soldier. It appears you've made an art form out of transporting with x.≺Prompt≻

I see you've managed to cram in a goodly amount of repair materials. Well done.≺Prompt≻

Hmm... Not a bad effort, but my eyes tell me there's room still to fit more repair materials.≺Prompt≻

Hmm... You've obviously erred on the side of caution, but the x≻ can endure more punishment than this.
As the saying goes, “No guts, no glory.”≺Prompt≻

    --Messages of Ops Success:
Amazing! That the chocobo came through it all virtually stress-free!
You ought to be thoroughly commended, soldier.≺Prompt≻

So the chocobo survived the rigors of the mission in sound shape. Well done.≺Prompt≻

Hmm... In no worse shape than the birds that usually come back to us, I suppose.≺Prompt≻

Hmm... The poor bird was subjected to considerable stress under your care.
I would thank you to be more cautious in the future.≺Prompt≻

    --Messages of Ops Success:
You were able to infuse the rear trap to the last drop? Amazing!
You are to be thoroughly commended, soldier.≺Prompt≻

So you managed to infuse the rear trap with hardly any spillage. Well done.≺Prompt≻

Hmm... So you managed to infuse the rear trap without excess spillage.
Though there's still room for improvement, to be sure.≺Prompt≻

Egads! Were your eyes even open during the process?
Considering the amount of spillage, it's a wonder the infusion was even a success.≺Prompt≻

--Might be an indicator of the level/exp penalty during a Bastion battle?
    Select point range.
    ≺Selection Dialog≻
    NQ: 0-49.
    HQ1: 51-59.
    HQ2: 60-74.
    HQ3: 75+.≺Prompt≻

I saw them. Right after the servers were up and the outpost was at 50% and the NPCs were ranked 2 star.
But that was before chariots started arriving.

The game states it (in SE style though) that you get stronger mobs (and more frequent battles) when you build up martello cores. The trouble is, you almost always seem to get +1-2 cores in a winning battle, so they will ramp up REALLY fast.
