I got an amber light once when I was duoing an NM once in La Thiene. And by this I mean, the NM was at 85% when I got the light message and nobody else was killing anything anywhere.
No it was just my 2box and a friend on a NM.
Ok, so anyone found anything conclusive about the Cuturae pop conditions? Weve tried a bunch of the theories - kill ironclad and check, kill ironclad on day of the element of the Cuturae and check, check on element days. Ive only seen sippoy twice and it was being fought already and we tried chasing down yaanei when it was seen on scan but it depopped.
I'm pretty sure Iratham pops/depops based on # of bhumis alive, was sitting up for >2 hours yesterday(then someone in ls changed to kill it) when my chars+afk leeches in pt were only people in the zone. When nobody farming Bhumi, seems to pop every 2 hours or more frequently.. went 8 hours without a pop during jp time while bhumi was being farmed extensively(all using deathspot scanner so accurate).
I've been parsing myself in Abyssea lately with Razed Ruins / Voracious Violet, and I've gotten a 22-23% DA rate (Brutal + 5/5 DA merits + 10% base + VV Atma). So that puts Voracious Violet between like 1 and 5%, rather than the 5 or 10% listed on wiki. Is anyone else having a similar experience?
Anyone got a relic scythe or something handy to test it? (as in 999 delay)
Hard to rely on parser for that stuff in normal situations.
At high Haste%, I'd expect the parser to error on the side of merging single-hit rounds and giving a higher DA% than reality. Another one of my parses showed 24% DA rate (unsure if I was /SAM with Pole that time) but it came back with a 1.5% Triple Attack rate too (no Nocturnus for me).
My Dancer parses with it are entirely meaningless. It claims I averaged 4.5 attacks per round with my Kila+1/Fusetto+1.
Not to derail this interesting DNC debate, but with the final expansion just over a month away, I was just thinking about the zones that could possible be present in Heroes of Abyssea. Based on what we know about the avatars present in the other zones, I expect:
Ice zone (where Shiva spawns)
Arid zone (where Titan spawns)
??? zone (where Fenrir spawns)
Now, looking at from this point, I deduced three perfect zones they could use:
a) Uleguerand range (Shiva): Plenty of room for mob groups, confluxes, and ??? spawns, demon and beastman mobs likely here.
b) W. Altepa desert (Titan): Huge amount of room to use with plenty of spawn locations and mob group section
c) Grauberg (Fenrir): Complements La Thiene and WotG zone selection; large, open areas with plenty of mob cluster points, etc.
Pleasssssssssse SE do not reuse the glacier or xarcabard ><
Eh, I wouldn't write off a ToAU Abyssea area yet. Also, Titan is already in Tahrongi, last summon would be Diabolos/Alexander/Odin.
Abyssea - Caedavra Mire - Fenrir
Abyssea - U-range (sounds good) - Shiva
Abyssea - Wajoam Woodlands, Bhaflau Thickets, Caedavra Mire, or Mount Zhayolm - Odin (Dark Rider, so he has ties to those areas)
**edit** I was beat. <.<
Abyssea Ule would SUCK. It would just suck. I suppose honestly it's the only option unless they do abyssea fei'yin.
Right now I hate U-range because it's basically a big one-directional loop of Arcana and Demons (occasionally of the true-sight variety). However, both these issues would be solved if it was an Abyssea zone. Confluxes make the one-directional-ness of the zone not-so-bad, and the fact that it's an abyssea zone would necessarily split up monster types and make it stop being purely demons and arcana.
Also, it's one of the prettiest zones in the game if you catch it at the right time of day when it's clear. That would be lost in Abyssea, but at least it wouldn't be as horrible ugly as Altepa.
What's more interesting is what they'll do after HoA...
I guess we might have a VanaEorzeaFest sometime in Q1 2011.
I see zitah tbh, has a previously noted light affinity(Doomed Pilgrims) and is a very large zone that's zilart-friendly. Seems like a no-brainer for alexander.
Zi tah just seems a little too small compared to the current zones we have, idk. A bunch of narrow paths and a few bigger open areas.
That was my impression too, but there's a lot of Zi'tah that's off the map. There are also three unused starter-city zones (E.Saru, W.Ron, S.Gusta). E.Saru is cool, but South Gusta and West Ron are both boring. Guess what city I started in.
Edit: Said Zilart instead of Zi'tah
South Gusta/North Gusta if we can access Maybe waterfall base through a "Drop rope" (like the one in Attohwa) and each side (Ala cliff in (S) >>>>>>> the other starter zones by miles.
The top of the hills in Gusta scream to be a NM spot =x.
(then again N.gusta probably out of question due to (S) usage?)
