I'm asking because I noticed Ephemerals don't enhance Pearlescent light in the same manner they enhance Azure/Amber/Ruby , even though I have all the abyssites (Fortune Abyssites included) , thought avatars might give better pearlescent boost but I think nope D: , thanks again o/ .

They do, just not with the same degree of reliability as others. I'm fairly certain amber is unaffected by ephemerals, or the effect is diminished far beyond that of pearl.

If you're looking for pearl, use T1 VNMs. They proc pearl 100% of the time (or very close to it) and you cap out in like 3-5 kills.

wat. I killed 10 T1 VNMs in La Theine, with Azure, and was still getting shit chests. I don't think they give increased lights.

Makes sense , they're NMs , & all NMs give enhanced lights from what I noticed , will have to try it out next time , thanks for the info ^^/ .

I suspect it's accurate, but is low I think.

This makes it much easier to solo build time on BLM in Abyssea, by the way. DoT some T1 VNMs to death, nuke some Ephemerals to death, -aga -aga -aga. I probably DoTed 5 of them to death and got half a dozen Pearl lights from an xp party I was grouped with. Managed to stay positive -aga killing worms between Pallid Percy spawns.

Care to explain to me how the fuck the scars items are any different? Last I checked they need a "fucking lottery spawn NM x25-30", unless you have some unknown method of getting the timed NM KI's, because last I checked they do not load in Pyxis.

There's a pretty dramatic difference between lottery spawns and timed spawns, timed spawns can never be whores at the same level as lottery.

I'm not agreeing that it's impossible to get that many lottery in a week, but timed spawns you know are going to pop. Lottery are, well, lottery.

For what it's worth regarding Caturae/Sippoy discussion on last page, we saw it up yesterday during full moon and killed. Moon changed to whatever is after and it didn't repop.

Use one of the MDB atmas and laugh in its face. I'm fond of Fistule's.

Have someone ready to diaga adds and run with them and kill Satiator while the adds are kept busy.

Or, you could use a DD atma, do better damage, and still not die to spells if you don't suck..

They do, the reason you hear conflicting claims on that is that they don't get killed remotely near as often, and the lights they give are definitely affected by their level. I.E. the fact that they're almost all decent challenge means they don't cap it as fast as scars zones where they're mostly VT-IT.

No. I'm not sure what exactly does it, but it isn't party size. If you find a spawn that is EP/DC, you can cleave them all day with more than a full party and still have them stay EP/DC. And then you can have one pup come in and start soloing them and crank them up to T/VT. Time from agro till death might be a factor.
