So I got an R0 just now on Figaro server, so I exit out and try to relaunch game like 5 mins later, get passed character select screen and it goes to "Now Loading" black screen and just sits there, any ideas or infos?

Wait or try again or make another character on another server wait to get to the opening then logout and delete the character and try to log in on your main. Or walk away and do something else for an hour and try again.

The branch is easy to find, but to get the Growth Formula Alpha I apparently need Alchemy, 4 ice shard, 4 lightning shard, Quick Silver, Rock Salt, Shriekshroom.
Unless there's an easier way to get these Growth Formula Alphas.

Could be worse. To make the next War Axe for MRD you need:

Earth Shard x9
Buffalo Leather Strap x1
Animal Glue x1
Bronze War Axe Head x1
Elm Axe Haft x1
Bronze Axe Butt x1

so that means you need LTH, ALC, BSM, ARM, CRP. God I hope they have something in the works for this market system by launch.

LOL, Your going to hate crafting almost everything worthwhile has a cross craft item needed to make even some of the most mundane items atm. Doubt that's going to change much also a lot of items require guild mark training to make useful low level items like arrows.

Also Protip: Roselings drop formula.

It appears they want you to befriend one of each crafting class other than yourself. You gotta' call in a lot of favors to get one item made. It will be stupid easy if they ever implement an Auction House type of system. Or, you eventually level all of the crafting classes because they all have cross-class traits/abilities that would help other classes out. And, chances are, the recipes for the parts of your finished item will have lower rank requirements than the finished piece itself.

Also, for those who started seeing Rank~30 leves show up on your list, what Rank/Level did you start noticing them? I would like to go for Rank~30 Fishing leves but I don't want to make the stupid Anima-less trip from Gridania > Limsa Lominsa if they won't offer them to me at Rank.18/Level.20

Good design in a casual system like WOW still has people asking stupid questions. However this is going to be pretty funny to see the amount of rage spam that will be generated in shout, since most new people to the genre will find the games system structure counter-intuitive. That's if they don't rage quit all together and cry about how much the game sucks during the trail period, whenever that is. People seem to have less patients for bs and at the same time have grown equally stupid. Kinda reminds me of Demon Souls QQ before non-bads reviewed the game. So with the terrible retainer system in place imagine how many shouts there will be from people looking for Anima ports, Crafters, NM items and to top it off where to go for quest items and locations.

Is the limit really going to be 10 lines nothing is apparent to make me think it won't be. I have more than 10 equip slots not counting any skills, so all I can do is hope the server is good enough that when I spam 2-3 macros and go into animation lag for 10 seconds, no command get's ignored because of the slow uptake and resolving of the server.

The irony of your statement is that websites like somepage handed you everything. Saying it was "the only help I had" is pretty stupid.

Not everyone spends times researching a game. Some really just want to play it. Those people are allowed to post here too.

What I mean, is in game or real life, you have to work to get shit. But always asking and not getting the answer by yourself you just sink yourself and you are wasting the other person's time.

People need to stop beeing selfish and thinking about themselves only. By asking stupid questions that you can find yourself in 5min you are wasting someone else's time, that could be used for something more imporant like himself enjoying the game.

WTF is the deal with the Gridania emote quest? The one where you're supposed to dance with the children? Which ones are you supposed to target? What are you supposed to do? The only "success" I've had has been /bow. The others say to /joy and /wave I think but it doesn't work.

Same thing exist in an early LL quest except you have to do some type of secret fisherman greeting or something. Guess it helps stupid people learn emotes?

Yes, I've done the LL version and it was fine. You just repeated whatever the NPC did. The Gridania one appears to be bugged.

Each NPC gives extremely vague hints to the correct emote to execute at them. It is not bugged. Just go through your emote list on each one if you have to. Pay no attention to the fact that they seem to all do /joy and pay no attention that one of the NPCs even says "joy" while /joy is the incorrect emote. It's incredibly dumb and their dialog doesn't really help point you in the right direction. Limsa Lominsa's was 100x easier to figure out. I don't know about Ul'dah's though I heard it was similarly as retarded as Gridania's.

eorzeapedia has a walkthrough with which emotes work for which kids. And yes the LL one is easy the other 2 are wonky.
