Here's to hoping the Thousand Needle has a classic Cactuar on it.

Anyone know if they have plans to change it so crashing or disconnecting during a leve will no longer result in failure? It's only happened to me a few times, the first were on day 1 of OB, but just now lost a mark leve.
Also, I read something a few pages back about being able to redo failed leves after the next reset. Is it true that they don't count towards your 8 for that cycle?
After the assloads of complaints about d/c=fail someone had come around saying they were aware of this and planned on doing something about it and haven't done anything about it yet for some reason... vague, I know, I forget the actual post.
I think, the "redo leves" thing just means you don't have to go back to the Adventurer's Guild to pick up the leve again and it will simply be repeatable once the 48 hr mark hits. It will count towards your 8 for the next 48 hours though. If you pick up a leve because the reward is awesome and end up failing it for whatever reason, just wait for the next leve reset time (48 hr mark) and that leve, still being in your posession, will be ready for another attempt with the same rewards.
Anyone know if crafting rank is taken into consideration when repairing gears? For example, I am 13 on weaving and I have a hard time making cotton stuff (about 50/50 on threads, 0 success on cloths). However, I can repair cotton items no problem (so far). Does that mean it's a bit more forgiving when it comes to repair? Or was I just lucky?
They did do something about it, they allowed you to redo them after the leve reset by simply going back to the starter aetheryte. Leves you redo in this manner don't count towards your 8 limit.
You can fail, if you do you lose the item your repairing your gear with.
So if I really do not need the reward from the leve shouldn't I be failing them all the time to get some extra skill points out of them?
For clarity: Repairing doesn't risk the actual piece of equipment, only the material, which will always be lost upon failing.
Sure, but thats a pretty sure way to encourage SE to take it back off us again.
According to people watching the Launch party in Japan atm, the leve cooldown is getting lowered anyway.
From Eoroziapedia:
Fast summary:
- Physical stat distribution will affect both crafting and gathering classes.
- There will be "open world" NMs outside of guildleves.
- Crafters will be able to cooperate in large-scale projects (cannon, boat, wedding cake).
- There will be guildleves where crafters and fighters/mages have to cooperate.
- The frequency of guildleve issue will be raised (or the time between issues lowered below 48 hours).
- In turn, anima regeneration will have to be raised (as travel back to town will become more frequent)
- New hairstyles will be added, as well as the ability to change hairstyle after character creation.
- The faction leves will see you fight beastmen tribes.

looks like ffxivcore and eorzeapedia are conflicting in translations:
FFXIVCORE:
The NM one has me most interested. Need to get an accurate translation.* Physical stat distribution will affect both crafting and gathering classes as much as it does everyone else.
* There aren't any "open world" NMs outside of guildleves.
* New hairstyles will be added, as well as the ability to change hairstyle in game after you make your character.
* Crafters will be able to cooperate in large-scale projects (boats, cannons, wedding cakes! YUM) so more fun for you and your company!
* There will be guildleves where crafters and adventurers have to cooperate.
* The guildleve issue will be fixed so they cooldown will be significantly decreased from 48 hours.
* Anima regeneration will have to be raised since you'll have to travel more for more frequent guildleves.
* The faction leves have you fight different beastman tribes and such.
Yeah, there are two versions posted even at core forums, one guy says they said there won't be, the other that there will. My friend says they didn't say nothing about that and there's nothing at all about something like that in this live report. (as in, they said there will be NM, but didn't comment on outside or inside guildleves)
Yeah I saw the SS's of the NM's but i'm in the same boat; i don't believe they commented on inside or outside leves.
From the Image thread...
Spoiler: show
from the new CG Trailer, fossilized might be the better term. After the Warship+dragon crashed into Mor Dhana, it looks like the planet actually cracked open and let some sort of lifestream out, along with the elemental avatars (titan, ifrit ect).
And Kadaj's group!?![]()
Could have been its coincidental crash landing site of the aetheryte-rich Mor Dhona, since you can see the crystalline formations already there as it hits the lake.
Has anyone lit the Elmer signal?
